It was the next day after Ben's banishment, and I had found out that Minho and Alby had gone into the maze to retrace Ben's footsteps. Right now, I was with Gally, helping him work.

"Wait, their doing what?" He asked for what seemed like the hundredth time, making me roll my eyes slightly at my big brother.

"Their retracing Ben's footsteps." I informed him again. He nodded before going back to work, while I joined him. I may have been a track-hoe, but I was a pretty good builder too. After a little while, it started raining. We all went to take shelter, while also waiting for Minho and Alby to get back. Which, they should've been back by now, but they weren't.

I stayed with Gally the whole time. He had one arm leaning on the homestead and the other was around my arm in a brotherly way, while he was watching the rain and the maze doors.

It soon stopped raining, making us all go wait at the doors for the two boys. Where are they? They should've been back a couple hours ago. I held onto Newt's hand tightly, while Thomas had said some stuff, but I wasn't listening. My gaze was focused on the maze, waiting for Minho and Alby to round the corner, and see that they were fine.

Thomas had stopped talking, and it was back to being silent again. Until, two figures caught my eye, I guess they caught Thomas' too because he pointed them out. Everyone started shouting for them to hurry.

"Wait no, something's wrong." I heard Newt tell Thomas and I, not taking his gaze off of them. It was then, that I realized that Alby was unconscious. I started panicking. Their not gonna make it. We're gonna lose two more gladers. Who were both my closest friends.

I felt someone's eyes on me, but I ignored them. I couldn't keep my eyes off of the two. I couldn't hear the people shouting for Minho to hurry. All I could hear was my own breathing and my hear beating super fast.

All of a sudden, a figure ran past me and into the maze, when the doors were almost closed. I snapped back into reality when that happened. I looked to my left, seeing that Thomas was no longer there anymore. I looked back at the doors with wide eyes, I saw his figure right before the doors officially closed.

I stood there, frozen in place. I didn't even realize that the boys were starting to walk away, till Newt got my attention. "Come on, love. Let's get to bed." He wrapped his arm around my shoulders, pulling me into his side, kissing my temple. It was just like yesterday after Ben was banished.

We made it to his hammock and I laid down, waiting for Newt to come in. He eventually joined me, putting his arms around me, kissing my temple once again. I put my arms around his waist while his were around my shoulders.

"It's okay, darling," he hesitates, "Everything's gonna be okay." He whispered, reassuring me. Though, we both knew it wasn't gonna be okay. Three gladers are gonna die tonight. I didn't say anything, I just nodded, snuggling into him more before drifting off.

I was sitting in the exact same spot I was in, in my last dream. Looking at the screens, wearing all white, Thomas and that girl were across from me. I was snapped out of my thoughts by the door opening. In walked a guard, that older blonde woman, and...

Newt?

What was he doing here?

"Newt?" I muttered, catching Thomas, the girl, the woman, and Newt's attention. From the corner of my eye, I could see Thomas looking at me with sad eyes and a frown. But, it didn't seem like it was for me, he looked like he was in deep thought, clearly thinking of something.
