Girl With Fake Smile

Chapter 18

He was happy when we are on way to meet his friend but now his mood was change. I was petrified by his sudden mood change. He was driving car bluntly which made me to cuddle at his shoulder hugging him. As soon as I hug him, car pull out at side of the road.

I free myself from his arm. I trucked a strand of hair behind my ear feeling clumsy. I regret for hugging him. I was frightened to death this time thinking about what if he is angry even more by my action. He is not uttering a word and I can't even look at him. But, to my suprise, he hug me back and  whisper, " let me hug you for a minute. lets stay like this for a while" in my ears.

I hug him, patting his back. I have many questions to ask him but  he wasn't in a mood to talk. So I just stay silient. We reach at his office around 6 p.m. He take out some file from his bag and put it on his table. He sit on his chair and he is working on something.

"Ummm, can I go now?" I ask him .

" No, you are not allowed to go anywhere without my permission" he said to me.

I don't want to ask why I have stay with him even when my work time is over because arguing with him is useless. He will do and have to get everything he want. I sit on chair which is besides him. I look around his office once again. Sometimes I look at what he is doing but I have no idea what is it as it's all about business. I'm not really good at business.

Soon I get bored and wish his work to done soon. I was even feeling sleepy. May be because, it was a tiring day. I wasn't able to keep my eyes open. I saw my boss looking at me giving me a warm smile. My vision was blurred and I'm not sure whether he smile for real or it was dream.

Someone grab me by my arm saying "wake up!" I was such a girl who get angry when someone wake me up while I'm sleeping unless it's urgent. I push that hand away still closing my eyes and nagging to let me sleep more greeting my teeth in angry. I can smell delicious food. I try to sleep but I can't after smelling delicious food.

I open my eyes slowly but I wake up in horror once I saw my boss sitting besides me who is looking at me smiling.

" What..is it you? I'm sorry, I throw my anger towards you. I'm really sorry" I said not looking at him.

" You look cute when you are mad" he said still smiling. I blush at the word cute.

" Ways let's have dinner" he said. I follow him towards kitchen. I was hungry and my stomach is crying out of hunger. I sit besides him. He let me to serve myself after he serve himself. The food was delicious. I compliment that food was good which made him blush. He looks cute when he blush.

I was looking at him for a long time untill he move his hand Infront of me asking whether I was there. I cut of my eyes from staring at him.

" Ah, I think I was lost. Let's have dinner" I said feeling embress.

" Are you feeling hot? You are sweating a lot. Should I put on air conditioner?" He asked.

" no, no...i'm not feeling hot and I will be fine soon" I said not looking at him. I ate as fast as I can because I  don't know how I should act. I feel uncomfortable for no reason. I ate faster and walk away without looking back. When I reach my room, I stood infront of mirror and reflect myself thinking what I'm doing. But I can't understand myself.

I hear my mobile ringing. It was unknown number. I say " hello." The voice said " hello." It was a female voice.

" Who is this and how can I help you?"

" I'm calling you that we have vacant apartment that you ask a few days ago. Do you need?" a voice ask me. "

Sure I will move into tomorrow" I said with excitement. I think I will take half day off so that I can move into my new apartment and I no longer have to stay with my boss. I thought of sharing that I got new apartment with boss. I jump out of bed throwing blanket away and walk towards boss room.

I knock on his door. A voice said " come in." I walk in where boss was drinking water facing his back on me. I pad on his shoulder with excitement.

"I have a good news. Wanna hear?" I ask him.

" sure" he said with same excitement.

" I got a place to stay and it's not really far from here. I think it will only take take 10 minutes by walk.  I will move tomorrow and hope you will give me half day off. Will you?" I ask him looking at him, waiting for answer.

"Umm.. I'm not sure. We have lots of work to do tomorrow. I don't think I can give you half day off" he said with serious look.

I actually find difficult to understand him. He was just excited as I'm a minute ago but now he was acting rude. I  wasn't happy about his mood change.

" It's okie. If you can't give me half day. I will adjust myself after work" I said and walk away feeling unhappy. I wanna cry. I was hurt. I don't know why I have to feel hurt or want to cry, he is my boss and he have right to do when it is about work.

I was expecting more than this from him and why I have to expect more. He is my boss and moreover we are living in totally different world. I close door behind me and cried untill I was drown to sleep.

I wake up with buzzling sound of alarm. It's 4 a.m. only but I have to wake up early so that I can pack my things and be ready. When I was packing my things, I heard knock on door. Who would be at this early. I thought to myself and made my way towards door. It was my boss. I let him enter my room.

" Why are you here?" I ask him.

" Ah, hope you remember we made a deal. You are  my girlfriend for a month and still we have a week left. You have to stay here at my place for another week more" he said with cold looks. I don't understand why he is acting kind to me sometimes and why rude sometimes.

" okie I will stay for another week but tomorrow I have to move into my new place by any means because, if I didn't, the house owner want to give that place to other. So I have to made sure I get that place before some took away" I said still packing.

" Okie" was only his answer.  I pack my things and I was almost done packing. Jigme, my boss walk out of my room. I stay on my bed reading library waiting patiently for time to pass.
