Narrator's pov

-

"You're an idiot"

"I know, shut up" Ember rolled her eyes, bringing her phone to her ear

"You were too forward!"

"That's how I am!" Ember hissed

"You looked like a creep"

"I know"

"God just imagine if a guy had walked up to you and pushed himself onto you like tha-"

"I know"

"She could sue yo-"

"I KNOW. Jesus, I know. I just wish someone threw a rock at my head so I could catch my damn sense yesterday" Ember groaned

The streets were calm as usual, it was an everyday thing especially for such an early morning

The girl adjusted her white button up blouse that complimented her dark grey trousers, her computer bag was slung across her back as she held her car keys with one hand and her phone to her ear with the next

The payments were reasonably wide enough for atleast four people to walk, there wasn't much traffic during the morning, especially on foot and Ember was glad for that

She wasn't a morning person, especially since she hadn't even gotten the chance to spring hot coffee down her throat as yet

"You're a dumbass"

"How many time are you going to tell me that?"

"As many times as it takes so it sinks into your tiny little gay brain and you learn what is right from wrong!" Fallon said

"Okay mother"

"That's QUEEN mother to you" the boy said dramatically

"Shouldn't you be in class right now?" the girl questioned

"I am-"

"What!"

"Listen, If I bend over and 'accidentally' drop a pencil right now, they have no choice but to pass me. Who's gonna fail someone with a dump truck ass like this?" Fallon snickered

But the silence on the other end of the phone wasn't one he expected. Hell, it wasn't one that Ember expected either

"Ember?" The boy asked

But there was silence again, not enough for him to panic since there was still sound coming from the phone indicating that the call hadn't been cut

"Helllooo?" he asked again

But Ember's attention had been far away from the boy on the phone, it was actually on the person her eyes had barley glanced at through a large window of a small cafe

Ember's eyes grew wide as her body seemed to paralyze itself, almost as if all blood flow through her veins ceased and stopped working in just a few seconds the moment her eyes landed on the person

Perhaps it was her beauty that caught Ember off guard or the fact that she didn't expect to see her but you readers and I both know it's both....  Maybe leaning a little bit more on the first one but it is what it is

"She's here" Ember mumbled

Her body seemed like shed the mental ice that froze her in place as her hands gripped the door of the cafe that was positioned between a few buildings down the alleyway

The second she stepped foot into the building, her nostrils were met with the steaming hot and fresh smell of vanilla coffee beans being grinded into power, the excess dust particles filling the air and giving a heavenly chocolate taste with a strong hint of vanilla and dark chocolate for that bitter flavour
