chapter fifteen - theatricality
Finn's POV
"She was so mean to me, Erin. I'm not just going to take her back," I roll my eyes, turning to look at her. The two of us sat side by side on one of the platforms in the choir room, as the rest of the Glee Club trickled in for practice.
"Finn, she's pregnant-" Erin stops and looks over my shoulder in awe. I furrow my eyebrows in confusion and turn to see what she was looking at.
"Oh my God," I hear Kurt mutter.
Tina stood in the doorway as the entire Glee Club stared at her in confusion. Her usual gothic outfit was nowhere to be found-- instead, she wore a plain gray hoodie and jeans... that weren't even black. She sighs in defeat before making her way over to sit with the rest of us.
"It's so weird," Artie looks over at her, as she takes a seat beside him.
"I feel like an Asian Branch Davidian," she frowns. "Figgins told me I can't wear my 'lacy demon clothes' anymore."
"What?" Erin scoffs from beside me. "He can't do that."
"Unfortunately, he can," Mr. Schue frowns, taking a seat on the stool at the front of the room.
"Being goth isn't against the dress code," Mercedes furrows her eyebrows in confusion.
"Look, guys," Tina sighs. "I appreciate it, but I've tried-- Figgins isn't budging. I'm not allowed to show who I am! It's like communism," she frowns.
"Guys, we have a serious problem," Rachel interrupts, bursting into the room. "I was digging through the dumpsters behind Vocal Adrenaline's auditorium and found eighteen empty boxes of Christmas lights."
"Oh, no," Tina's eyes widen in fear.
"Which led me to Joelle Fabrics-- I asked them about red Chantilly lace, and they were sold out," Rachel rambles.
"Oh, sweet Jesus," Mercedes swallows nervously.
"What?" Mr. Schue frowns in confusion.
"They're doing Gaga," Kurt gasps.
"That's it. It's over," Mercedes sighs.
"Wait, guys, we might be able to kill two birds with one stone here," Mr. Schue nods. "We can help Tina find a new look and find a competitive number for regionals. This week, your assignment is... Gaga," Mr. Schue grins as the girls and Kurt clap in excitement.
After practice I make my way out to the hallway with Erin.
"Can I talk to you about something?" I frown, making her turn to look at me.
"What's up?"
"My mom surprised me with something this morning," I sigh, making Erin cock an eyebrow at me. "Kurt and his dad are moving in with us."
"What?" She laughs. "I didn't think Carole and Burt were that serious."
"Well, they are," I groan in frustration. "Erin, Kurt can't move in with me. He's in love with me."
"Oh my God," she sighs, giving me a sympathetic look. "At least you guys won't be sharing a room, right?"
"That's what I thought," I explain. "But now Burt wants to turn the spare bedroom into an office," I roll my eyes.
