A Christmas Verse

The winter is nigh
Peppermint fills the air
Red and green bid no goodbye
Chaos is everywhere

The shoppers are rushing
From store to store in malls
Near close to crushing
To get their toys and dolls

The tree is stood
The stockings hung
Memories of childhood strong
As the past bells ring

One precious child was born
In an unexpected birth
Giving all a chance to be reborn
That they would see their worth

The child is one of three
The Father, Son and Holy Ghost
So sing a cry of jubilee
And in His name ye shall boast

Hallelujah to the king
Our triumphant Lord
The bells they ring
Loud with no discord

The babe born to Mary
Two thousand years ago
Is far from imaginary
We say to thee hello
