Christmas Special

3rd Person POV

Dante's Base

"Dante, come on, get up!" Katie whined, jumping on the Rev-9's stomach.

Dante groaned. "Come on, Katie. Don't you know what time it is?"'

"I'll tell you what time it is!" She kicked him in the side. "It. Is. Christmas!" She kicked him again, knocking him off the bed. "Come on!"

"Alright," Dante groaned, getting up. "What's so special about this holiday again?"

Salvation thudded into the wall next to him, effectively waking him up.

"It's Christmas!" Katie shouted. "What more do you need to know?!"

"Is everything alright?" Arcee's Holoform opened the door.

"Just great," Dante replied. "Katie's kicking me in the side. How are you?"

"Better than you are," Arcee replied. "Also, Katie, I'm not complaining or anything, but why are you kicking my boyfriend?"

"Because it's Christmas, and he won't get up!" Katie shouted, waving her arms. "Who does that?"

"Me," Dante replied, getting up and stretching. "I think you might have knocked a few joints out of sync, Katie."

"Just come on!" Katie whined. "The Bots have a giant tree in the base, and they have presents!"

"Okay, I get the point," Dante replied. "Come on, Cee. Let's get back so that Katie doesn't kill us."

Just to prove his point, a dark aura crackled around Katie as her eyes gleamed menacingly.

Arcee gulped. "Actually... seeyagottagobye!" She bolted out the door.

"Wait for me!" Dante darted after her, a vengeful Katie behind.

Timeskip

After managing to calm Katie down, the three of them set off for base, Dante and Katie riding Arcee's vehicle form as they tore off down the snow-clad road.

"What is this stuff?" Katie asked, holding out her hand as a snowflake fell on it.

"Snow," Dante replied. "Beautiful in small amounts... not so much when you get buried under an avalanche."

"You've never seen snow before?" Arcee asked.

"I don't think so," Katie admitted. "We didn't have any in the city."

"Then how do you know about Christmas?"

"It's actually the one holiday both Legion and the Resistance took off," Dante replied. "Legion, because it wanted to lure the humans into a false sense of security each time, and the Resistance because it was a way to keep morale high."

"That makes sense," Arcee replied as they pulled into the base... only to skid to a stop when they saw what was inside.

The rest of the humans were there and wearing Christmas hats, as were the Autobots in their holoforms, even Optimus, but that wasn't the strange part.

The strange part was the giant Christmas tree in the center of the room, surrounded by an assortment of presents. And, to top it all off, snow was everywhere.

"What happened?" Arcee asked as she activated her holoform, Dante and Katie jumping off and into the snow.

Ratchet huffed. "Someone, and I'm not going to say who, thought it was a good idea to bring winter inside." He glared at Miko, who shrugged.
