((ARTHUR'S POV))
Once Merlin is completely alert he and I see this light coming into the cave.
"Come on, then! What are you waiting for?! Finish me off!" I yell thinking that Girl was going to kill me still. Only for the light to float above the two of us, I pull myself onto the ledge. The light moves higher, but both of us spot the Mortaeus flower creeping out from a huge crack that's in the wall. Seconds later we hear spiders screeching out from all around us as they and crawl toward us on the ledge.
"Go. Save yourself. Follow the light, CLIMB...ARTHUR...MERLIN!!!"
Mira's voice pushes the two of us farther up the ledge. As if a force and her voice combined are pushing us to live. Climbing up towards where the flowers are sticking out from the wall and grabs one of them, handing it to Merlin as he and puts it in a pouch on his belt. We see the spiders keep coming and race up onto the top of the cave noticing that the light is slowly fading under the treeline as if it was late afternoon from what I can tell.
We need to get back to Camelot before it's too later for her!!" I yell as the two of us run to our horses and untying them from the trees as we get onto the saddles and speeding back to the Castle like crazy. He and I finally get to the castle grounds as some guards spot us coming in, only to then stop us. Sir Gregory yells out to the others:
"Inform the King! Arthur has returned to Camelot!!" Only for us to have the Guards block our way as we come to the drawbridge gate.
"What are you doing? Let us pass!!" I growl out, Merlin acting the same way as I am right now too.
"I'm sorry, Sire. You're under arrest, by order of the King." Sir Gregory yells, making me and Merlin scoff out in disbelief. Only for the two of us to be escorted off of our horses aggressively as they drag us to the dungeons. My father shows up in my cell as he argues with me again. Merlin watching us from next to me as my father yells:
"You disobeyed me!!"
"Of course I did, a lady's life was at stake. Do not let Mira die because of something I did. I know you care for her, can you just see how I want to make sure she's protected, you should feel the same, she came here to get help and be safe from her bastard of a twin brother!! You saw the way she looked when we found her, how beaten and bloody she was, You and I made a promise to her that we would protect her, why won't you now?!?!" I yell back at him.
"Why do you care so much if she dies or not!?!" He spats in my face now.
"She knew the danger she was putting herself in, and the consequences as well. She knew what would happen if she drank from that goblet, but she did it anyway. She saved my life. There's more. There was a woman at the mountain, she knew I was there for the flower. I don't think it was Bayard who tried to poison me." I tell my father this time, not yelling at each other really at this point in time.
"Of course it was." He sneers out.
I pull out the flower from the pocket thing on my belt, handing the flower to my father.
"Gaius knows what to do with it, please trust me." I swear to him now as my father takes the flower from me.
"Put me in the stocks for a week, a month even, I don't care. Just make sure it gets to her. I'm begging you, I can't picture a life without her because I care for her and I know you do too." I tell him again. Only for Uther to crush the flower in his fist. Both merlin and I cringe at this.
"NO!" I yell loudly, mad as ever now.
"You have to learn there are a right and a wrong way of doing things. I'll see you're let out in a week. Then you can find yourself another lady that can replace her as your friend for that matter." Uther spats at me. Leaving as he drops the flower just outside my cell door. The guards lock the door and I try to get the flower just beyond my reach. Merlin must've snuck out before my father left. Merlin shows me that he had the real flower in his pocket, showing me it as we see that no one is around us right now.
