IN THE FOREST
Mounted knights approach the griffin in the woods as Arthur draws his sword.
"For Camelot!" Arthur yells out as the knights draw their swords.
"For Camelot!" All the Knights yell out as they begin to fight the beast. Merlin, Lancelot, and I ride along. We can hear dying men, sword clanging, and the screech/hissing griffin. They reach the fallen knights and dismount. Merlin and I rush down to where Arthur's laying right now.
"Arthur!" We say as Merlin feels for Arthur's pulse.
"Well?" Lancelot asks.
"He's alive." Merlin tells us, I let out a breath I didn't realize I was actually holding. The griffin hisses from down the trail as Lancelot rides into attack position with a lance and shuts his visor a yard or so away from me and Merlin.
"Okay, Merlin, it's now or never." I tell him as we see Lancelot horse rearing slightly.
"Bregdan anweald gafeluec." Merlin chants, but nothing happens and this is when Lancelot charges.
"Bregdan anweald gafeluec." He chants again but still, nothing happens. Lancelot passes Merlin and me.
"Merlin hurry the hell up!!!" I hiss at him.
"Bregdan anweald gafeluec!" Merlin chants louder again. Dread fills my every being as the griffin charges.
"Bregdan anweald gafeluec!!!"
Merlin screams out as the lance flames blue, hits the griffin. there's a huge flash of light as I cover Arthur from the harsh light that comes as the griffin dies, and the magic glow disappears, I look back up at Merlin as he and I celebrate.
"Yes!" We chant only for him and me to hug each other but stop as Arthur wakes. Merlin runs off. Lancelot removes his helmet once I help Arthur up, he notices me, slightly glaring at me as he then says:
"I told you to stay in the castle!" I just roll my eyes at him only for him to then see Lancelot.
"Lancelot?" He asks, only to then look at me again.
"Sire?" Lancelot asks Arthur to see if he was okay.
"She told me that you wanted her out here so I let her come along." Lancelot says, Arthur glares back at me.
"We'll talk about this later!" He hisses back at me, only to then notice something was missing.
"You did it. You killed it, Lancelot!" He cries happily, for a bit we rest before going back to the castle, Arthur and his father argue about Lancelot's fate if he can or can't stay in Camelot. From what Merlin, Lancelot, and I can hear it's not going to be good. But Merlin tells Lancelot that he can't tell anyone of his magic because he heard him. I stay with them for the rest of the afternoon before Lancelot is sentenced to never step foot in Camelot again. I walk with Merlin and Gaius around the battlements talking, as we watch Lancelot ride off.
"Perhaps you were right, Gaius. Perhaps I should have never got involved." Merlin says, frowning.
"No Merlin, I was wrong. Lancelot needed you and you needed Lancelot. Your destinies were entwined." Gaius says to him as he places a hand on Merlin's shoulder as I do the same but on his arm.
"Will he ever return?" I ask them, feeling bad for Gwen because she seemed to have liked Lancelot a lot.
"That I cannot say." Gaius tells us again.
