Third Person POV (the night of April 3rd)

The walk from the hospital to Oikawa's house was silent. (Y/N) and Oikawa were aware that the other person needed time to cool down after their loss.

The two friends walked through the front door of the Oikawa estate with the baskets Iwaizumi made for them held securely in their arms. Oikawa walked over to the living room couch with (Y/N) following shortly behind him.

The two sat down and placed the baskets in their laps. Oikawa looked up at (Y/N), "Who's gonna open their basket first?" he asked.

(Y/N) eyed the basket in her lap, and then looked over at the basket in the brunette's lap. "How about... we open it at the same time..." she suggested.

Oikawa agreed and they both opened ther basket to find a letter on top of a box. (Y/N)'s letter had a heart sticker, and Oikawa's had an alien sticker.

Oikawa's POV

My hands trembled as I carefully picked of the piece of paper. I took a deep breath before unfolding it. I knew I was gonna cry harder than a newborn baby after reading this. I gulped as I started reading Hajime's note inside my head.

to the dorkiest boy alive,

hey. so... i guess i'm not here anymore... haha. ok first of all, do NOT, and i mean do NOT tell anyone about the true cause of my death. i don't want (Y/N) to be asked questions everywhere she turns. instead, tell everyone i died of a car accident. please and thank you.
and take the best care of (Y/N). i know for a fact that you're in love with her. the way you look at her tells me everything. so, i solved your problem. remember that christmas gift i gave to her? the lock necklace? well i taped the key to the bottom of this letter. inside her lock is a ring. a wedding ring to be exact. i excpect you to propose to her with that ring sometime soon. see? i planned this wayyy ahead of time. make sure to tell your future kids about their super cool Uncle Hajime.
i just wanted to let you know that you made my life so much more better than what it would be without you. you're my best friend, and will forever be my best friend. man, i wish i could stand by your side as a best man at your wedding with Mattsun and Makki. that would've been a hell of a blast.
seriously though, i know you're probably feeling down right now but please know that none of this is your fault. remember that fate lesson you taught me on the hospital floor? yeah, tell that to yourself. this is all fate, just remember that.
live a good life, ok? i want you to be happy and successful. don't hold back on anything. live everyday as if it was your last. take risks, take chances, rule the world for all i care. but there's ONE thing i will not allow you to do; break (Y/N)'s heart. her heart is very fragile so any little mistake can make the whole thing collapse. the poor girl already suffered from her ex, don't make her suffer more.
one more thing;
i couldn't be prouder to have you as a partner, and you're the absolute best setter. even if i'm not here anymore, those facts will never change.
