3rd Person POV

Autobot Base

Dante sat on a chair in human size next to Katie, throwing knives at a board.

"Inner ring," Katie said triumphantly. "Beat that."

Dante smirked and, with a flick of his wrist, sent a throwing knife piercing the board dead center. "Beaten."

"I super don't like you."

Dante chuckled and turned his attention to Arcee and the other Bots, who were watching Optimus continue to decode the Iacon database.

"I'm going to be a great warrior someday," Smokescreen proclaimed. "Just like Optimus."

"Welp, train hard, and gain some wisdom along the way, and I'm sure it'll happen," Bulkhead said.

"Oh, it will," Smokescreen bragged. "It's my destiny."

"I think he means density," Katie snickered.

"Oh really?" Bumblebee asked.

"How so?" Arcee placed her hands on her hips.

"Well, one minute I'm on security detail at Iacon," Smokescreen explained. "The next, I wake up on the other side of the galaxy to find myself under Optimus's command. I mean, what are the chances, right? Things happen for a reason."

"We get it, Smokescreen," Arcee deadpanned. "You're special; we're lucky to have you."

Katie laughed. "That ought to keep him in check."

"All I'm really saying is, I've come a long way, and this is one opportunity I don't plan on messing up," Smokescreen said.

"Never mind," Katie corrected.

"Autobots!" Optimus called. "The next Iacon coordinates have been decoded. Ratchet, ready the Groundbridge."

Ratchet nodded and did as asked.

"Last one to the Omega Key has to scrub the Energon tanks for a week!" Smokescreen proclaimed and ran forward to the Groundbridge.

"I didn't know we were keeping score," Arcee muttered.

"Arcee, Dante, prepare to roll out," Optimus instructed.

"Yes!" Dante pumped a fist and somersaulted off the platform, landing next to Arcee in Cybertronian size. "I've been waiting all day to get off my aft and do something!"

"Wait, what about me?" Smokescreen protested.

Bulkhead huffed, and Elita raised an eyebrow.

"I-I mean, me, Bulkhead, Bumblebee, and Elita," Smokescreen backtracked hastily.

"The four of you will remain here in the event I am able to decode a subsequent database entry before the others' return," Optimus explained calmly.

"Optimus is right," Elita agreed. "Considering what is at stake, the faster we respond the better."

Ratchet activated the Groundbridge, opening a portal in front of Dante and Arcee.

"Keep your engines idle, kid," Arcee said over to Smokescreen. "Come on, Dante. Destiny awaits." She kissed her boyfriend on the cheek before running through the Groundbridge, Dante following her.

Relic Location

A Groundbridge opened on a street at the edge of a quarry, and Dante and Arcee jumped out, weapons at the ready.
