Once Upon A Time....

There was a donkey farm in the far North and everyday the owner and his son would put logs on the donkey's back and carry it to buyers.

Mirkou: Come on Kohaku it's time to get the logs to the buyers.

Kohaku: Okay.

They went to put the logs on the donkey's back. Kohaku put some small logs on Ah-Un's back, because bigger logs were too heavy for him. Mirkou saw that and sighed.

Mirkou: Sigh.

They went to the buyers ,sold the logs, and went back home. They started giving the donkeys their dinner.

Mirkou: Son.

Kohaku: Yes father.

Mirkou: It's time that we sell Ah-Un.

Kohaku: What?!

Mirkou: He is just not strong enough to carry the bigger logs. His strength is all gone. I'm going sell him in town for one piece of silver.

Kohaku: No please don't sell him. He's my best friend in the whole world.

Mirkou: I know it's hard, but he must be sold.

Kohaku hugged Ah-Un so tightly with pure love and friendship.

Mirkou felt bad for Kohaku having to sell his best friend. So he deiced to let his son spend as much time with him as possible.

Mirkou: Tell you what, I'll let you sell he tomorrow so you can give him on last goodbye.

Kohaku: Really?!

Mirkou: Really! Now go to bed my son.

Kohaku: Sure.

The next morning Kohaku got up in the morning, ate breakfast, gave Ah-Un his breakfast, and they both went into town.

Mirkou: Remember sell him for one piece of silver.

Kohaku: Okay.

Kohaku and Ah-Un walked for about an hour until they reached town. They started walking towards the gate when a solider stopped him.

Koga: Halt who goes there?

Kohaku: My name is Kohaku and I'm here to sell my donkey.

Koga: Hmm!! I know the perfect place where you can sell your donkey.

Kohaku: Really?! Where?!

Koga: Head straight into town and it's the shop right next to the pot shop with blue curtains can't miss it.

Kohaku: Oh Thank You Sir. Come on Ah-Un.

As Kohaku and Ah-Un went into town the solider chuckled a little evilly.

Koga: Hehe!! The tanner needs more leather to sell.

Kohaku walked into town towards the shop.

Kohaku: Here it is Ah-Un. Let's go in and make a good impression.

Ah-Un licked his face.

Kohaku: Ha Ha!! Ah-Un!!

Then they walked inside the shop. It had small tubes on boiling water and leather everywhere. It was also a little dark and scary. That's when they heard the sound of metal scraping. Inuyasha was sharping his Tessaiga.

Inuyasha: Yes.

He walked towards them.

Inuyasha: You have a donkey to sell?

Kohaku: His name is Small One.

Inuyasha looked at him for a second.

Inuyasha: One piece of silver.

Kohaku: Will you take good care of him.

Inuyasha: I only want his hide boy. I'm the tanner.

Kohaku: GASP!! The Tanner!

Kohaku: Your going to make leather out of him!!

Inuyasha grabbed him by the shoulder and bend down on one knee towards him holding a silver coin.

Inuyasha: I'll give you one piece of silver for him.

Kohaku pushed away from him.

Kohaku: No I won't sell him.

Then he fell down.

Kohaku: No No!!

Then he got up and he and Ah-Un ran out of the Tanner's shop.

Kohaku and Ah-Un ran to a safe corner.

Kohaku: Oh I'm so sorry Ah-Un I didn't know he was a tanner. Don't worry I'll find a good owner for you.

Kohaku and Ah-Un then walked all over twon trying to find someone to buy Ah-Un. The sun was starting to set Kohaku was starting to lose hope. That's when a kind man walked up to him.

Inutashio: Young man are you here to sell that donkey.

Kohaku: Yes for one piece of silver.

Inutashio: My name is Inutashio and I'm willing to buy that donkey for one piece of silver.

Kohkau: Your not going to turn him into leather are you?!

Inutashio: No of coruse not. Hehe! My wife Izayoi broke her leg and needs help getting places. Your donkey would be perfect for her.

Kohaku smiled at him and back to Ah-Un.

Kohaku: Okay I'll sell him to you.

Kohaku was happy he finally found someone to buy him and take care of him. He walked back home with the money filled with happiness.
