Dear Diary,
This my first diary entry. This dairy was given to me by my father for he would like to write about my times meeting a suitor before I turn eighteen. I live in France and well life was always difficult for me because when I was born something happens to my left leg leaving me with a slight limp. This made it difficult for me to find suitors. I can hear the trumpets sounding the return of my brother and father's hunt. Did I mention my father is the king of France? Yes, I know it shocking the king has a crippled daughter but that didn't stop him from just dropping me from being his heir. King William Bittencourt and Queen Amelia Bittencourt made sure that my older brother, Prince Charles Bittencourt was there to protect me. So he escorts me and rides horses with me. I know it's difficult to find alone time, but I have to deal with it. I heard that I have a new suitor. Well, I have to go to meet my father. I shall write again. Princess Isabella Margret Bittencourt
As I close my diary and moved from my desk. I moved towards my window overlooking the entrance of our castle. I had to move quickly in order to present when my father arrived. I bunched my dress in my hands as I ran towards the stairs. I knew I was pushing my limit and my luck so I decided to slide down the long golden banister. Servants began to look at me since I was breaking serval etiquette rules, but they won't speak up since they don't value me as their "true" princess. As I sit upon the bannister I readjusted my dress and made my way out towards the bright sunlight. I made it just in time and I made my place towards my mother who bowed her head and smiled at me. My mother had a gentle face and caring eyes but behind her eyes, I can tell they were secrets she was keeping. I turned to see my father great with he joyful laugh. I saw that he hand killed boar with the hunting troop. My older brother rode next holding three small rabbits. It made me giggle a little. My father hopped off his horse and handed the boar to nearby waiting servants.
"Well my lovely queen and princess, what do you think of my victorious slaughter," He said waving his arms towards the beast. My mother put a handkerchief over her nose and mouth and stared "Very nice dear but please remove the boar and small rabbits towards the kitchen". She stated waving her hands for the servants to prepare the boar for the meal later tonight. My father moved closer to my mother as an attempt to hug her. "How do I smell? My lovely queen". My father stated. "Get away from me William! You smell like you walked through ten swamps." My mother stated as she did a quick little run to get away from my father's grasp. This was my parents routinely banter after ever hunt. They love each other that they want the whole kingdom to see how they care for each other. As I secretly tried to sneak away, my limp was getting in me caught and my brother has noticed. "Isabella! Did you slid down the bannister again?" He said running towards holding his black gloves in his hands. I looked at my bother who has dark black hair, blue eyes, a chiseled chin and a gentle smile. "No Charlie, Im just having a bad day. Thats all." I lied trying to not get in trouble. "Izzy, you know that lying won't help you. I am not going to tell father. I am here to protect you." He said taking his large hand into my small one. I quickly mine away. I turned my back to my brother. "You will never be in my shoes! You don't know how hard it is for me." I said walking away to my room to change for dinner. After I made my up the stairs I hid behind a pillar. I saw my bother fluster and throw his gloves on the ground. It hurts that me that I can't be opened with my brother but in my heart I have to push him away so I don't hurt his future. I must express these thoughts.
