WARNINGS: violence

The silence in the hangar in the north of Italy was speaking louder than words. Charles wiped his mouth, spitting out some blood. "Fucking asshole spilled on my shoes". Arthur complained behind him, reaching down to wipe the tissue over the nose of his expensive shoes. "You know, I could just shoot you for saying that". Charles replied and it made his brother shrug, pulling his jacket straight. "Alright, he's all tied up and yours, Charles". Antonio came back, tucking his gun back in his slacks. Romain and Sebastian were meanwhile busy to roll the other twelve bodies in plastic and wipe out the existence of the total crew of Gabriel. Charles and Arthur left their mark on the entrance of the building and they were going to burn it down to the ground after they left. The crewhead that followed up Gabriel was tied up in his office now and Charles only needed to know if his partner crews were tough enough to go after them later.

Charles briefly saw his reflection in the windows, a nasty cut on his cheekbone and his jaw was bruised, but he still looked a hell of a lot better than the guys who were being carried away in bodybags now. Charles got into the office, where Antonio had tied up the guy. His arms were behind his back and his ankles tied to the legs of the chair as well. "What's your name?". Charles asked, ripping the tape off his mouth. "Fuck off". He spat. "You already killed my boss, my crew. What else do you want?". He asked. "I asked for your name". Charles said, leaning back with raised eyebrows. The guy was quiet for a while. "Thiago". He eventually said. "Do you have a family, Thiago?". Charles asked. "None of your business". Thiago snarled. "It kind of is my business if you ever want to see your wife and kids again". Charles said. "Because what's going through you now, is exactly what I was going through when your crew thought it was funny to attack the school". Charles continued.

Thiago looked at him when he leaned his hands on the arms of the chair. "That skank was supposed to die". He hissed and within the blink of an eye Charles' fist harshly met with his face. His fingers curled around his collar and the blood-hungry look in the Monegasque's eyes caused Thiago's heart to skip a beat. "That skank...". He snarled. "Is my goddamn wife carrying my child". Charles said. "While my two boys were watching". He gritted through his teeth. "Gabriel indoctrinated you all". He roughly let go of the guard. "Made you fucking crazy bunch of dumb mobster who look like they have no idea what they're doing. And you dared to invite me to a game you knew you couldn't win, by hurting a woman". Charles spoke calmly, but he was raging with anger. "Leading her to my family at my home". He added. "You're not worthy of being in this world". Charles shook his head. "Open his shirt and expose his crew tattoo". He ordered and two of his guards were quick to shove Thiago forward, ripping open his shirt.

Charles looked at the inked lines and shook his head. "Even Gabriel would think you're not worthy of that". He said. "Burn it out". He ordered next and the languishing flame of the burner was audible, including Thiago's whining to make it stop already. His screams of pain filled the hangar next, the black lines burned out of his skin while his hands were tied back and he couldn't do anything. They pit Thiago back up to his chair when they were done, the disgusting smell of burned flesh spreading through the office. Thiago was shaking, looking down at the floor meanwhile. "I'm not going to kill you". Charles spoke next. "Because what you're going through will punish you more". Charles kneeled in front of him. "And because of this". He picked up the shirt, taking the picture out that was put in the chest pocket, a picture of his wife and kids. "Because I respect a family. And you better respect your wife and your kids". He spat. "Don't return to this life".

Charles put the picture in his hand and he stood up. "We're going home". He spoke and the guards nodded, Antonio next and Arthur was waiting at the door already. They left Thiago on his own. Charles was eager to get home, an end was finally put to all of this. Arthur and Charles got in one car together, Romain, Antonio and Sebastian in another, their guards following when they left the hangar. Charles rested back against the leather seat of his brother's car. The radio was turned off as well and he actually enjoyed the silence. He looked out of the window as Arthur was driving and he felt his cheek pulsing now where the cut was located. He was going to take care of it soon enough anyway. He felt his heart beating a little faster when he thought of being reunited with Joanne and the kids again after this heavy day, the sun already setting in front of them and he was sure it would be dark by the time they arrived at the safehouse. It had taken long before they could ambush what was left of Gabriel's crew, but he appreciated Sebastian's patient and ability to think clearly in stressful situations. Skills he wished to possess.
