It was practically midnight, yet I couldn't sleep. Just the events of the past few days, heck even the past few hours had me tossing and turning underneath the blankets. The weapon is being made and should be ready by tomorrow evening. And the counterspell should be ready by tomorrow also. So yea, saying that I have jitters about tomorrow is an understatement.

Staring at the ceiling as Domiens leaps onto my bed and lays his head on my chest. Asking me to give him pets, to which I oblige.

Suddenly, I hear a small knock on the door, shaking me from my thoughts. I get up and slowly walk over to the door, grabbing a small knife off of my nightstand and opening the door.

"Julian?" I ask opening the door fully to see a familiar face.

"I was coming to check on you, Raina, Roman, and yourself have been pretty distant lately, I wanted to check and see if you were ok," he explains in a hushed voice, looking around the hallway.

Seeming suspicious, I looked around the hallway behind, finding no one. So I let him in, checking the hallway with a better view, before closing the door.

"Well all I will say is that I'm fine, and I'm sorry for being distant but we're so close to finding Cindias, and we'll have almost everything we need to find him," I respond, sitting down on the bed while he stands by the door.

"Well, that's great! We can go tomorrow and find Cindias!" he exclaims, but I put a hand up so I can interject.

"No, I'm sorry, but you can't come, it would just make us more suspicious to..." I cut myself off, looking at the door, tensing up as if someone were just outside.

"Suspicious to who, what are you talking about?" Julian asks, confused as all hell.

"I'm sorry but... the less you know about this, the better, however..." I deliberate on this, knowing anyone, it would be rare if anyone, especially my friends, actually took what someone said lying down. Especially if it was me, and they knew I was lying. "I will tell you one thing, there are more people than just us looking for Cindias, or more accurately, something he has," I answer, as I have suspected, I didn't want any valuable information to be heard and passed on to the wrong people.

I could see his shoulders drop as he folds his arms across his chest. I knew he wanted more but I just couldn't tell him.

"I should get some sleep," I say, ending the dead silence in the room.

"You should," he nods and opens the door and leaves, closing it behind him. Grimacing as the door shuts, I sigh and get back into bed, then close my eyes.

Of course, I open my eyes to find a night sky above me, caged off as I look and the stone walls lit up by lava. I turn towards the center of the room to see Cindias, still out and looking paler than last time. I kneel next to him, not sure what to do.

"Hey Cindias, it's Dawn," I begin, god I don't even know how to start this.

"I don't know if you can hear me, like some comatose patients in Mortealum can hear everything going on around them, I don't know, you might be comatose, hell... I don't even know if you're alive..." I whisper the last part, a few tears starting to well up in my eyes.

"I just wanted to let you know, we're coming for you, tomorrow you'll be free," I say, brushing away some of the tears.

"And if you're gone, I'm sorry I couldn't save you, and I will keep it safe, Aiden and his goons won't get it," I whisper, placing a hand on his shoulder. Before flinching away because of the chill on his skin. And the creepy voice coming from behind me.

"Naughty, Naughty, that dragon shall stay in his cage," someone hisses, I turn around to see someone in black robes, a hood covering her face.
