Endless Tears

I watch Hanabi and Hiashi-sama spare while continuing some paperwork. Although I am not part of the main branch Hiashi-sama wants to train me to assist Hinata-sama and Hanabi-sama. Hanabi-sama once again shows potential as the heiress. After the training, she took a seat next to me as Lord Hiashi head to his office. As she rests there her facial expression seems extremely odd as if she wants to say something but is holding back. 

"Neji-Nii-san, don't you think Nee-chan is being weird lately?" I raise my head and debate on how to answer her. Hinata-sama indeed has been weird lately but oddly it isn't a bad change. 

"How will you define weird?" 

"It's... like she is very secretive lately." 

"Lady Hinata has always been an introvert and doesn't express much," I said as I finish up the paper works. 

"Hmm... that's true but then again there is something that is bothering me." Hanabi-sama thinks to herself for a long time before blurting out, "Oh I know! We should stalk her secretly!" 

I almost drop the papers as I hear her plans. "Ahem!" I compose myself. "That would be disrespectful toward Hinata-sama.' 

"Disrespectful or not I need to find out if something is wrong with her. What if she is in trouble but isn't telling us? Besides, she starts changing after she was assigned to guide the twins." 

Indeed, it is weird that she changed so much but it could have been due to the war. The war had impacted many people's life. Besides, no one would want other people to pry into their life. If it is something she must keep as a secret then it would be wrong to pry into it. Almost everyone is assigned to more than one task to rebuilt Konoha as soon as possible. The Hokage took in some fugitives who lost their home due to the war and out of those fugitives, there is a small group that are underage orphans. In that small groups, the twins are the only ones with special treatments. Since the war, I only met the twins 2 times. They look ordinary with onyx eyes but they remind me of Hinata-sama when we were younger. We have never really talked, they just look at me, bow, and left with Lady Hinata. Ever since Hinata-sama got assigned to them she disappears almost every day till nightfall. 

"With all due respect, I would like to decline your invite to stalk your sister." Hanabi stood in front of me to prevent me from escaping. "Come on there is no harm in doing this." 

She moves to my side as I continue off to Lord Hiashi's office to drop off the papers."It is not an invite. It is an order for you to assist me on my mission... Besides, what if she is dating that boy. She has not talked about Naruto ever since the war ended! I guess that she likes someone else. Not gonna lie, that boy looks pretty hot and he is a gentleman. I only saw him 4 times but the way he treated Onee-chan is just... WOW!" 

I stop in my track and process everything she said...thinking maybe there is a possibility that could be true, "but there is no way she would stop liking Naruto that quick. We all know how much she likes him ever since we were young." There is no way that when I finally acknowledge the guy she likes just for her to like another one. 

"Yea she liked him but he paid no attention to her. So imagine someone who is hotter, nicer, and give her all the attention that she wants. He's like the thing that she wanted all her life... to be love and wanted. Every time I see that boy his eyes always glue onto Onee-chan." We stop in front of Lord Hiashi's office room and Lady Hanabi whisper to let me know she will be waiting for me to come out. I sigh heavily and enter the room upon Lord Hiashi's command. 

I hand Lord Hiashi and listen to him as he explains what I need to do next. I couldn't focus but I fake it till I make it. That boy... what did he call Lady Hinata the first time I saw him? Somehow I feel as if I forgot something important.
