Having been locked up all her life, Amara Norene finally has the chance to explore her corner of the world, no longer under the watchful eyes of her parents. Travelling North - past the luscious green lands of old England - she reaches a quiet town miles away from her home: Dorset Village. Her home for the following months. If she can prove herself here, her freedom will be certain.

Kain Easton gave up. He gave up on escaping his father, gave up on his dreams. He was hanging onto life by a thread. The only thing keeping him rooted being fear and his paintings. Every night, he would paint. Hidden behind rows and rows of books, at the very heart of the town's library. The library was his domain. A labyrinth only he could get out of, only he could ever find. Where he could be himself. Alone.

One stormy night in fall, a shadow cast over the large room. Light bathed the new visitor in gold, water dripped from their clothes as they hunched over hoping to catch their breath. His hand stopped moving. Brushes clattered onto the floor. He was no longer alone. He was found.

The couple's meeting was sudden, yet they found themselves chained to each other by a force the two were too weak to fight against. The force kept them connected. They bonded over their similarities: in the silence that followed during stormy nights, in the laughter that bubbled when they met again at - one of the towns shared houses where they would spend their days together - they bonded over the tears that shed as pain stabbed through their heart. At the heartache that followed their journey before their love could blossom.

Amara and Kain had a connection which people seldom find. A feeling that went beyond love. Beyond soulmates. Their hearts connected in a single second, their souls forever intertwined by the red string of fate which held them both together. With it came: happiness, new friendships, love. Together, they found the light at the end of the tunnel.

But no love story has a happy ending without its conflict.

"Love messes you up. So, why am I so infatuated with you, when I know how this will end?"

What happens when Kains' father entrusts him with a new job? What happens to their love once the streets of Dorset weeps in blood? When screams flood the town - bodies wind up dead on the streets. What happens, when Kain is pushed back into his work and he has no plans to bring Amara with him; what happens when opposing families once again break the two apart?

Kain pulls away, Amara pulls him back. But what if their love isn't the only thing they should wish to protect.
