Rude awakening

"Shit!" I scream as I sit up and hit my glass head on the bottom of the top bunk. Ugh, I hate it when I wake up like that! It always gives me a headache for the rest of the day! I mumble curses under my breath as I quickly get out of bed and put my glasses on. A bit of my green liquid fell from my head, as I hurriedly ran to the bathroom. Fan, who was on the top bunk woke up due to my noisy wakening. "Ughh, Test tube can you be a bit quieter when you wake up?" He groans.

I sighed and brushed my teeth as fast as I could. "I-I'm very sorry Fan, I just hit my head again." He said something else, but I want listening. I finished brushing my teeth and put a cork on my head to avoid anymore loss of my green liquid, then jumped into the shower. I was supposed to meet up with lightbulb today!

I WAS SUPPOSED TO MEET UP WITH LIGHTBULB TODAY!!! I felt my face lose its green color simply by thinking of her.
Ever since that timeline nonsense, and the end of Inanimate Insanity, I began to feel...weird around her...

I would always get flustered around her, and everything she did seemed so inspiring and admirable!! I even named my latest invention after her! I didn't let her know that of course..eheh..

I finished showering and wrapped a towel around myself. Get dressed quickly and then I rushed to st some breakfast. I had my shirt half way on when I stumbled into the kitchen. I put a pan on the stove, ready to make some eggs but then I heard a knock on the door. I gasped. Oh no, she came too early! "Testy! Testy, it's meeeee!!" I turned around to see my short, yellow crush banging her hand on the window and waving. I took a deep breath, my heart was already going crazy!!

I went to the door and let inside. "Lightbulb, you came 43 minutes early!" I sputtered, looking down at my watch. She giggled. "Well sorry! I wanted to spend more time with you, green gal!" She said with ease and then sat down at a chair. Oh my goodness golly! Did she really mean that?! It was hard to tell, because she's lightbulb! And lightbulb is always saying these kinds of things! I scoffed and went to make some eggs. "Did you invite anyone else to the picnic?" I asked as I watched the eggs frizzle and sizzle.

"Hmm, I invited Painty! That okay with you?" My lip tightened. I didn't have a problem with Paintbrush joining us. Actually, I did. I'm pretty they have an attraction towards lightbulb as well, and I know for a fact they don't like me very much. Last month when I came out to Fan, Lightbulb, and Paintbrush as a lesbian, I got all different kinds of reactions.

Lightbulb was really happy and ran towards me with a bear hug, Fan was surprised, but he was happy I gained the courage to tell us. Paintbrush accepted me with ease, and they said nothing else. I couldn't stop thinking about that day. "Uhh Testy? You're zoning out." I flinched as I snapped back to reality. "OH NO, I burnt the eggs!" I screamed. Lightbulb laughed. "Aww it's fine! I can eat burnt eggs!" I frowned and felt disappointed in myself I put the burnt eggs on a plate and served them onto the table.

"A-Are you sure..? Eating burnt food isn't very healthy.." she swatted her hand at me and laughed again. "Testy! I've eaten all sorts of stuff and I'm still alive!" I sighed and sat down next to her. "Well..alrighty then.."

We ate in silence. Well not exactly silence, due to the loud crunching of the burnt eggs, but we exchanged no words of conversation. I hated this kind of silence! "By the way tube gal, I love the outfit you're rocking today!!" I felt my face turn red, and I almost choked when she said that! I looked down at myself and turned even more red!! OH MY GOODNESS-

I pulled up my jeans the whole way and zipped them up. I didn't even realize I hadn't pulled them up completely!!! "C-C-Couldn't you h-have told me e-earlier?!?" I stuttered in pure embarrassment. My face was as red as Fan!

She laughed. "Sorryyyyy! It was hilarious!" She choked. I frowned and stared down at the floor. "Aww seriously, I'm sorry! Your reaction was priceless!!" I rolled my eyes and the redness drained from my face. "Whatever...l-let's hurry up, Painty- I MEAN Paintbrush must be waiting." Lightbulb nodded. "Yeah, they really hate waiting." I nodded. "They're really impatient.."

We finish eating and walked out of the door. Lightbulb holding my hand and-

LIGHTBULB WAS HOLDING MY HAND?!
I felt my head EXPLODE inside!!! My face burned red again and locked eyes into the ground. Lightbulb seemed to be taking note of none of this!! She can be so dense sometimes!!
"There you two are!!" I look up to see Paintbrush. Lightbulb immediately let go of my hand and ran over to Paintbrush. "Painty! Sorry to keep you waiting!" They frowned at her. "Took you slowpokes long enough! Let's go!" They pushed a picnic basket into my hands and we began walking again.

Lightbulb was too busy annoying Paintbrush to hold my hand again. "So, Painty what did you pack in the basket?" I looked inside the basket, and raised my hand a bit, but before I could even open my mouth to answer, Paintbrush answered. "You'll see once we arrive." They said, obviously annoyed and didn't even look at her. How rude! "Oh, there it is! Let's get a move on y'all!" Lightbulb pointed at a picnic table and grabbed Paintbrush's hand, dragging them along with her.

"H-Hey! Lightbulb! Let go of me!!" They shouted in anger, but their face seemed to tell a different story. They seemed to be...blushing??

I gasped a bit. So I was correct!! Paintbrush DID have an attraction towards lightbulb! Other than that, or they just get really angry and red when you hold their hand. Well whatever...I suddenly regret allowing lightbulb to in it then here with us, but whatever. I set the picnic basket down and lightbulb immediately leapt away to use the bathroom or something. There was this public bathroom.

Paintbrush seemed to be glaring at me. "What?" I said bluntly. Their eyes widen a little and suddenly they grabbed me by the collar!! "Listen here, I know that you like Lightbulb. They practically snarled at me! "Y-Yeah..so?" I squeaked. "Well you better back off because-"

"Uhh..are you two dating??" We both freeze and look up to see Lightbulb looking at us. "Wait wh-" We both uttered, but she continued talking. "W-Wow!..I'm so happy for y'all!" You said. She seemed..hurt?? I have no idea where she got the idea of US dating, but...oh no..

We all sat down to eat. In silence. No one said a word, and the picnic started and ended in an unexpected way for me...I didn't like it all...
Me and Paintbrush didn't even try to explain anything, in fear of making it more confusing and awkward. I guess from the way they grabbed me, made it look like they were pulling me in for a kiss, but seriously...why would lightbulb think that?...

I began plotting a plan in my head I order to win her over, and clear up the mess in her head. We have arrived at home now...all I need to do is put this plan into action and hope for the best!!
