Naruto POV
In the months following the camping incident, the four of us had our training schedules worked out and had our main focuses. Sakura wanted to learn medical ninjutsu since she never wanted to experience losing a teammate. She was naturally stronger than most people who were around twice our age, so when she learned how to use chakra to enhance her attacks, whoever angered her better have their wills written. She plays the role of group medic and support.
Hinata chose to practice genjutsus and enhance her taijutsu so she won't rely on others to help her. She used her byakugan to practice making illusions strong enough that even a byakugan or sharingan can't see through them. So far she can trap high genin to low-chunin in her genjutsus and can keep a Hyuuga with the byakugan under one for a minute. Hinata gave up the title of clan heiress, meaning she was free to train with us. She plays the support role, and defense specialist.
Since Sasuke had unlocked his Mangekyou Sharingan, he went to show his parents in hopes that they will be proud of him. Itachi, his brother, unlocked his own Mangekyou on his mission when he thought he killed his friend Shisui. Sasuke's parents gave all their attention to Itachi, ignoring Sasuke who had just unlocked the same power. He decided to give up on them, and got an apartment to live in.
Sasuke began training with a sword that can conduct chakra. He wanted to be acknowledged by his family so he practiced fire ninjutsu whenever he could. In our group he plays the role of main offense and uses stealth.
I, on the other hand, decided to train with my katanas. I learned how to channel chakra into the blades and I can dual wield them now. I learned a bit of fuinjutsu for the sake of my clan heritage. I can make storage seals and exploding seals on the go, and given enough training, I might be able to make space-time seals similar to The Hiraishin my father uses. I specialize in random attacks and infiltration.
The infiltration is because I snuck into my father's office, wearing an orange jumpsuit, while he was there, in broad daylight, and stole a scroll called the Scroll of sealing for Sasuke and I to learn the Kage-Bunshin jutsu.
I moved out of my family's house, and lived with Sasuke now. We became official a week after the camp thing, and told the others another week afterwards. Sasuke and I do best when we attack together because we cover each other's flaws. Hinata and Sakura are the same but with defense and strategizing instead. Altogether, we make about a mid-chunin level team, better than the Ino-Shika-Cho formation so far.
Today was our academy graduation tests, and we were more than prepared for it. Sasuke and I started a one-sided rivalry about a year or two ago, and we were trying to see who would be rookie of the year. I can do everything needed except for the written test and the bunshin jutsu, which according to my luck will most likely be on the exam. The four of us sat down, squeezing into a table together to take the exam.

"Good job everybody." Iruka sensei said to our class. "In our class, nobody failed this year. Tomorrow you will receive your team placements." At this point Sasuke's fangirls started yelling about being put in their Sasuke-kun's team. "And in case you didn't know yet, the Hokage and Danzo-sama of the elder council make the teams. Remember these final words I give you. Becoming a ninja is a big responsibility, not the kind of job for someone who just wants fame or fortune. The life of a ninja will be difficult. You may end up seeing one of your closest friends die on the battlefield next to you. The ninja life is not a game, okay. Good luck to you all."
With those final words, we were ninjas and adults by law. The first phase of our big plans for life was complete. The four of us walked out of the academy together talking about what team placements would be like.
"From what I've read, there are only teams of three genin with one jonin sensei to teach. The teams are usually picked by skills or abilities. There's the Ino-Shika-Cho formation which has been going on for who knows how long, so those kids are out of the equation." ranted Sakura.
"From what my brother told me, the Rookie of the Year, Top kunoichi and the dead-last are almost always on a team together. Meaning there is a possibility that Sakura and I will end up on a team with some loser." Sasuke added.
"There is also another formation like specialization teams. Two years ago there was a team specializing in stealth and another year there was one full of powerhouse clan kids. Hinata would probably be on a tracking team, while we would be on a powerhouse team." Sakura said, looking down at her feet.
"It'll be okay Sakura-chan," Hinata comforted, "We need to start planning to leave the village around the chunin exams."
Something I should mention, is that we planned to go rogue and join a group called the Akatsuki for Danzo. He told us after our training with his Root agents one day. The Hokage was told by Itachi Uchiha about a coup d'etat being planned, and The Hokage started to consider executing the whole clan. Danzo told us about it and we told him to name an Uchiha the next Hokage to stop the Uchiha from feeling powerless in the government.
It worked by naming Shisui Uchiha the next Hokage due to his dedication to the village. If the clan killing were to happen, Itachi would join the Akatsuki as a spy for the village.
Since that didn't happen, Danzo planned for us to join the group once we became strong enough. We all had believable backstories for us to join the criminal group, but not the personalities.
Danzo would try his best to get the four of us on a team so our leaving of the village wouldn't affect political stuff for him in the future.
"When do you think we'll be able to act like ourselves in front of the other graduates?" Sakura questioned us.
Another thing was that Danzo had us put on fake personalities to train us for future infiltration missions. It was useful to know, but not fun to do.
"We won't get the chance to." Sasuke said.
"He's right Sakura. We have to act like people we're not, so we won't raise suspicion for us and Danzo." I replied.
"And why might that be?" A male voice said.
We stopped and turned around to see...

Sorry about the cliffhanger. Also I should mention that I will write jutsu names in Japanese for the most part and write them in English when I can't find out what the Japanese name for it is.
Happy Birthday to Nezuko from Demon Slayer December 28.
