"Just call me Suga."

"Call me Daichi."

"Does that include me?" Azumane nervously asks.

We both nod.

"Then call me Asahi." He smiles.

Those are both first names. Suga is just a shortened version of my last name.

"Well you two can call me Koushi, if you really want too." I smile.

They both shake their heads.

Suga it is.

The door opens and Takeda-Sensei walks in. "Good, you're still here."

We all look up.

He walks over to us and places Daichi's phone on his desk on the way over.

"He shouldn't bother you anymore." He pauses, "The principle suspended him for a week and if he does it again he'll be expelled."

I nod.

He looks at me, "Are you alright, Sugawara?"

It still hurts.. a lot. I don't know what to tell him. I could say that I'm completely fine. But, he might see through that.

I nod, not knowing how else to respond.

Takeda-Sensei doesn't seem like he believes me. He's smart. I can already tell.

"I'll be fine." I sign.

He sighs, "Do you want to go to the nurse?"

Every time I've been to the school nurse, whether it was for a bump on the head or having just thrown up, they would give me an ice pack and tell me I'm fine. So, going to the nurse probably wouldn't do any good.

I shake my head.

Takeda-Sensei laughs, "You're stubborn aren't you."

I've learned that stubborn isn't necessarily an insult. It's more of a compliment, as long as you're not hurting anyone. It's just saying that you know what's best for you.

I smile. How the hell am I supposed to respond to that?

Takeda-Sensei looks at the clock.

"It's already five o'clock. You three should head home." He pauses, "Today doesn't seem like the best day for volleyball."

He's right.

"See you three tomorrow." He says as he leaves the room.

I'm glad he didn't try to force me to go to the nurse. At some point I would've had to give in and go.

Daichi gets up from next to me and holds out a hand to help me up.

This feels like earlier, except for the pain is physical instead of mental.

I grab his hand and he pulls me up. Now I remember why I sat down, it hurts so much more standing up.

Daichi seems to notice, "I know you just said that you didn't want to go to the nurse, but are you sure?"

I nod and walk over to my desk to grab my bag.

Should I ask my mom to pick me up? I don't live that far though, so what's the point? I could walk home and be there before she would even get to the school.

I'll just walk.
