A day in the life of depression
1
You get up. An easy task for most but something that proves difficult to you.
2
You tell yourself every reason as to why it's good that you got up, but none of them being enough.
3
You forced yourself up because if you can't even act okay why would you deserve to really be?
4
You go through every reason why you don't want to eat but then force yourself anyways
5
you hate yourself for giving in and letting one piece of food touch your tongue
5
you lay there. scrolling through social media, acting okay, seeing everyone else's put together lives
5
in just 5 steps you are back to square 1...and that is how easy it is to fall back into old habitsso then you restart. you lay there. you sink. you think too much. you have to get up. you lay there. you've gotten up once why do it again?
you tell yourself "this is why no one can truly love you" "if you don't love yourself enough to just get up why would anyone else even try?"
"you're being a baby" "just get up" "get up and stop being lazy" "you aren't depressed you smile sometimes" "you laugh remember?" "not every day is like this so you're okay" "GET UP"
