"Drew you can't."
"Maura I have to, it's the only way,"
"No it's not."
"Maura , I have broken the rule. I have to fix this before anyone finds out."
"I know the organization is secret, but what's the problem with falling in love with someone?"
"Maura , I know you are in love with me, but I don't love you. I am in love with Jasmine."
"What does Jasmine have that I don't have?" Maura asked. It was time to get her man. She was going to have Drew even if she had to get rid of someone to get him.
"I have a connection with her and Jasmine is a loving and well kept young woman." Drew said, as he reached into his pocket to pull out his cellphone. He looked at the messages and he turned and left the room. Maura headed to Jasmine's room, but made a stop in the medical bay first.
Jasmine had no idea where she was, all she knew was she wasn't at her home. She had an image of a young man who she had never met. There was an instance connection between them. She knew they both felt it. A movement caught her eyes. A young woman came up to the side of her.
"I don't know what he sees in you, but you're not going to live to find out what connection you have with him. He is mine and I am not going to let you have him." Maura said, as she held up a syringe filled with lavender liquid.
Jasmine tried to scream, but nothing came from her mouth. Maura got closer to her and stuck her with the syringe and pushed the liquid into her body.
"Now you will never know about anything else."
Jasmine's vision went dark. As far as she knew her life was over. She didn't know the woman who just killed her and she didn't know anyone named Drew. This was very odd to her. Don't get her wrong, she had been in weird places then where she was now. She felt this had to do with the organization which had helped save people in the disaster in Las Vegas.
There was a hurricane which hit Las Vegas. All the casinos were hit, some were destroyed, others were damaged beyond repair. There were a lot of people who were dead, injured or just in shock. She went into action and helped those who needed help.
It wasn't until she saw men in uniforms did she realize they were here to help with the rescue. She saw the insignia on their uniform, it said SRO. The leader had watched her for a little while. She could feel the connection once her eyes connected with his. For some reason she could tell he felt the connection also. As soon as they appeared they disappeared.
Jasmine made sure everyone was okay, when she got to the hospital she tried to find out about the people who helped in the rescue. No one seemed to remember men in uniform, they remembered the EMT who saved them. When she looked and talked to the EMT, they said they remembered saving those who had been rescued by them. Jasmine thought it was a little odd, but she let it go. When she started home a week later when the planes were cleared to fly, she thought she saw the leader of SRO. When she glanced back she saw he was no longer there.
It was when she walked to her car did her vision go black. When she opened her eyes she was in the peach color room. The insignia of SRO was caught out of the corner of her eye. She had tried to figure out what was going on, but the lady came in and injected her. Now she was floating in a white room, she didn't know the direction she was going in.
She heard her name being called. A thread floated in front of her. The voice sounded so familiar, the thread was silver. The time she took to move towards the voice seemed like it took forever, but leaving this place seemed like the right thing to do. Her world went dark.
Her eyes adjusted to the new color of the room. Drew stood before her. She stood at attention.
"Welcome to SRO." Drew told her as he gave her a smile.
Jasmine smiled back, she was where she wanted to be. It felt right being there.
