"Captain Lee, you've been called!" One of the crew members said to a girl who was busy writing something in her diary.

"Alright! I'll be there" She replied as she closed her book and walked out of the tent.

She made her way towards the tent that belonged to the general. She wondered why on earth was she being called. She then realized that maybe it was time....time for her to go back home!

"General Park, You called for me?" The girl eagerly asked the general who quickly put away his book when he saw her.

"Yes! You've worked really hard for us in spite of being injured several times, you never gave up! So I had a talk with the higher authorities.... You're going home, Captain" The General spoke. Finally after waiting for months Y/n was now going to go home.

Y/n couldn't contain her happiness. She waited for this time to come...the day she'll finally leave to go home. She will finally get to see her best bud who she hasn't seen or spoken to in a while.

"Thank you, Sir! Captain Lee signing off-duty" She said and saluted. She then bowed and exited the tent.

Y/n made her way to her assigned tent. She looked around it one last time cherishing all the good memories she had in here with her fellow soldiers.

She knows she wasn't coming back anytime soon which she was happy about. She need a break from all this army stuff after all.

Y/n's Pov

I got back to my tent after having a little walk in the field. I met my crew mates who accompanied me through thick and thin.

I was now busy packing all of my stuff. It was a lot but it's okay I'm going home after all. I decided to leave few stuff I won't be needing. This is my tent after all and I don't think anybody else will be assigned here.

After an hour or so I was finally done with all of the packing. I was ready to leave.

Next Morning

I woke up at 5am and got ready. It was time to go home now! I can finally sleep in my comfortable and cozy bed.

I loaded all of my luggage into the van and got in the car that was sent to drop me off at the airport.

I looked at the place for the last time as the car started to make it's way towards the airport.

I got dropped off at the airport I got on the plane and then it finally took off.

I smiled as I looked out the window. The sun still hasn't risen yet but it was soon going to. The sky was soon painted in orange as the sun began to rise.

I was leaving behind all the bad memories I had from fighting wars and losing fellow soldiers who I couldn't protect. I'll at least get better treatment for my wounds that haven't healed yet.

My smile turned into a frown when I realized I have no one to go home to. Of course I earned a living and have a roof above my head...But I didn't have a family.

I wasn't going to be greeted by my parents......I lost them in a plane crash when I was 10. I was brought by my grandma and she gave my everything which I'm very grateful for. She's probably watching over me right now and giving me that warm smile she always gave me.

I smiled bitterly at the thoughts but then again I have my best friend. Who was always there for me. Even when I lost my grandma and had no one by my side she was there for me.

I smiled again thinking of her. She is a total dork! She freaked out when I said I was coming back. She'll probably be there waiting for me I'm sure of it. I then felt my eyes getting heavy I was pretty tired after all so I decided to take a nap.

After hours of traveling I arrived at my destination. I quickly grabbed of my luggage. I was finally back in Seoul. I put on my mask and the hood since it was freezing.

I began to look for that certain someone. I smiled widely when I found her. She waved at me and began to run towards me.

"You're finally here!" She said and engulfed me in a hug. I hugged back without hesitation. I missed this dork so freaking much.

"I missed you bruh" She said still hugging me. I was happy at the fact that at least I had someone to come home to. She's my best friend.... She's my family.

"I missed you too" I said and we both chuckled.

"Let's go home, Y/n" She said and grabbed my luggage.

"Yo I can carry this" I said and pulled my luggage back.

"Yah! I'm taking it don't argue or you're gonna have to walk home" She said and grabbed my bag again. Aish this girl hasn't changed a bit! Adamant as always.

"Fine!" I said and she gave me a smile. She began walking and I followed her.

"How about we get you that smoothie you always drank while going to school?" She asked me when we go inside the car.

"I was craving for that! You know me so well, Jeong" I said and have her a friendly pat on the back. But I guess it was a bit to hard since her face was about to hit the steering wheel.

"Yah! You're too strong" She said and rubbed her shoulder. I apologized and chuckled at her. She glared at me so I stopped or I'd have to face an angry ostrich all the way home.

"Hey, Jeong! I was wondering if you'd make me some hoddeok when we get home" I asked her. Since we share a condo she was the one who always cooked and her hoddeok is the best.

"Of course! Anything for my best friend" She said and I smiled widely at her. Then our ride back home was filled with laughter as we recalled some of our unforgettable memories.
