⁀➷ what are soulmates?

their people who are met for each other, a destined partner who is met for you and you're met for them.

⁀➷ but what if you have more then one?

you have two choices...

pick one and leave the other to dead alone without a soulmate in their life

or

what most people choose; to be with all of them, a polyamorous relationship.

⁀➷ but how do you find your soulmate(s)?

on your 18th birthday, the gods give you a blessing; the eye of fate. with this, you can see your soulmates' true self. our human bodies are just masks, a cover to hide our true selves from others, but in this world, you can't hide anything from your soulmate(s).

your 'true self,' or what others call it, a being from your past life they say, if you were an angel in your past life, your soulmate(s) with eyes of fate would see silhouettes of wings and a halo.

⁀➷ real story behind soulmates...

soulmate is a complicating subject, most people just accept it, that there's one or more soulmates for them but others, others don't think that.

"how can a single person be right for me..."

"what if i love someone that's not my soulmate..."

"if god things this person is right for me, does that mean i have to accept them..."

those questions are completely valid but no one knows the real reason of this gift the gods gave us. some say, our ancestors helped and severed the gods and they gave humans the ability to find their soulmate as a reward for their loyalty and service.

but...

is that story true..?

actually... no one knows

all that were alive back then have pasted away

scientists are still researching and investigating the strange blessing the gods have bestowed upon us.

but i do know the truth...

selfish, self-centered people...

i don't know how or why i remember the event but i remember that day like it was yesterday, the memory; clear as day. tho i wasn't there, per se, i remember the memories but i believe this memory is from one of my ancestor's.

i can see the danger that this unique ability puts me in the future but that's not what i'm most worried about... my unborn baby is in great danger because of me

➳ this is a sneak peek into the lore of one of my soulmate au, in my opinion, this is the most complex lore i've written but i won't be diving into it much, if requested enough i might write more about it, if i'm motivated enough.
