Secrets in the dark

Untitled Part 8

I had changed into black ripped jeans and a white tank top. I had a silver necklace and some bracelets on my right hand. I also had the angel ring. I smirked when I heard some random story.

It was about a girl, who face was hidden behind the mask of good and evil. She was as fast as the wind. Her eyes were as cold as ice and snow. She was as beautiful as a shooting star. No one knew her real name or which specy she belonged to. She goes by the name Winter, or her new nickname: The Winter Star.

In short, it was about me. Sage was angry, she didn't have to fight Hazel. I decided to use the name Winter. There were some other girls who had that name. And everyone knew that Winter wasn't her real name. So if I made it my real name, it would be a good cover. You know, hiding in the open. I noticed that I now could switch between personalities. One moment I was Selene and the other moment I was Winter. Sage and I decided that I would be Selene in normal life and Winter in battles or serious matters. I chose to hold the name Winter because I liked the name. But it would be a lot harder for people, who wanted to kidnap or kill me, to find me. Yes, there are people after me. What did you expect? I'm God's daughter.

I saw Desiree but she didn't recognise me. The only thing that could betray me, were my eyes. And I  changed them. I always loved the colour aqua blue, so I changed it in that colour. There were still some pecks of silver in. I needed to find my mate, and with some species, you know when they are your mate when you look them in the eye. Suddenly I heard someone shout Winter.

I turned around and saw Fallon. She ran towards me with a big smile.

''Hi Winter! Aren't you curious in which school you are?'' She asked.

''Do I know you?'' I asked.

''It's me, Fallon. We fought in the last fight.

''Uhm sorry, I fought a girl named Amelia in my last fight.'' I lied with a fake smile.

''I know it's you Winter. You can change your eyes and everything you want. But I still would know it is you.'' Fallon said with a stubborn look on her face.

Just like the air. I sighed and gave up.

''How did you recognise me?'' I asked with a small smile.

''The way you moved. Like you were carried on the air. Or like the earth kissed your feet. You are really graceful.'' She spoke.

My mouth formed an 'O'. I thought I had everything covered. I even changed my name in Winter in the school reports about me. Then I started laughing.

''You're something else Fallon.'' I said still laughing.

''You're different.'' She suddenly said.

''Yes... I am.'' I smiled.

The principal started reading names. I almost laughed when I heard that Hazel got in the normal school. My other bodyguards came in the second strongest school. My name wasn't read yet, just like Fallon's name. I smiled at her and she did the same. We made it. We made it into the strongest school. Suddenly Fallon hugged me. I froze, but soon relaxed... A bit. Everyone ran towards their school. Ours was the centre, so it wasn't that far away. I looked at Fallon.

''The first one to reach the school wins!'' I shouted.

I started running. She did the same, and damn, she was fast. I won just by a little, she must be really strong. Fallon stood beside me and had a smile on her face.

''Do you want to meet my brother?'' She asked.

I shrugged and she started pulling me with her. Suddenly Sage screamed danger. I let myself fall to the ground and pulled Fallon with me. On the place where I just stood, was now a dagger. I let out a shaky breath.
