—Chloe Bourgeois P.O.V
My footsteps made hollow, reverberating noises as I approached my classroom. I rolled my eyes and muttered under my breath, "What's the point?" My teacher could not hear me, but I could see her, standing outside my classroom door. She stood with hands outstretched to open the door.
"Chloe," she said as I walked up to her, "you're 10 minutes late. If this happens another time, I will have to -"
I could get myself out of trouble, so I didn't really care if she scolded me anymore. I glared up at her and promptly walked into class.
"Okay class," she said, "today we have a new student. Her name is Skylar." She looked at her watch: "She should probably be back from the principal's office in 10 minutes." She started teaching us about Greek and Roman texts, but I already knew all about them. i concentrated on this new girl. Skylar. Weird name. Whatever. I glanced at Marinette. She was Staring at Adrien. Like a creep. This bothered me. I mean, i did like adrien. But that wasn't what bothered me. She had his schedule. Who knows what other personal information about him she has. Even i didn't go that far. Sure, i'm a little clingy. But i don't know stuff like that. I needed to talk to her about that. Lila could wait. This was much more important than a stupid liar.
Suddenly, the new student burst through the door. "Sorry!" she said. "I don't know my way around here." Skylar said, "It's okay. Now, tell the class about yourself."
"I'm Skylar, Lila's cousin from Italy. I moved here to give her more support Because her mom is so busy."
WHAT?!?!
"Oh! I didn't know that you were realated to Lila! Please sit near chloe."
Oh no. I could feel Skylar's eyes working their way up my back, and the hairs on the back of my neck prickled in response. Trying to look inconspicuous, I pulled a folded slip of paper out of my pocket and slipped it under my book. One row up and one seat over, Skylar tore off a piece of paper from one of her books and wrote something on it. She folded the paper and passed it to me. With a glance over her shoulder, she smiled as she secured her ginger curls behind her head with an elastic band.It read-
'Hey Princess ! I didn't expect you to be in the same class as me. But i need to ask you something. What's the Deal with My cousin here? She was always so nice to me at Italy when we met each other there. Now she just seems like a manipulative brat here. She's ignoring me because i'm not going along with her lies. What's her deal here?'
Great, she's asking about that. I don't even know why she lies. Why is she even talking to me anyways? I'm a villain , apparently. The worst hero.
But I did not want to ignored the only person who gave me a moment's notice, so I scrawled a reply on the back of the paper she had written on.
Skylar P.O.V
After what seemed like forever, Chloe passed me back the paper.
'Meet me at lunch.'
