"So where do you wanna go?" Johnny asked as him and jungwoo climbed into his car.
"Take me to the mall?" The younger responded, buckling his seatbelt.
A small laugh slipped out of Johnny at the memories rushing back to him, "Ah the days of carrying all of your bags and paying for half of it."
"Hey," Jungwoo protested, holding his hands up in front of him, "Who would I be to pass up free money and a gentleman, it's not my fault you had a crush on me."
The elder gasped upon hearing that, "You used me for my money?"
"Well duh." He deadpanned. Trying to cheer the boy up, Jungwoo reached across the center council, "But that started a great friendship where I still use you for your money."
"You and Ten both."
Tilting his head to the side, he couldn't help but smile, "John, me and Ten are best friends, what do you expect?"
Still pouting about the confession, Johnny turned on the radio, trying to change the mood. After a few minutes, all of the awkwardness from time apart slipped away as the nostalgia of their first year of college washed over both of them.
Freshman Johnny and Jungwoo both came onto campus on their first day not knowing anything or anybody there. They quite literally bumped into each other while Jungwoo was trying to read a map to find his first class.
Coincidentally, the two were looking for the same class. So they put their little knowledge together and found the building they were looking for five minutes before class ended.
Ever since that day, they grew to be close friends. They did everything together, not really knowing—or wanting to know anybody else. They spent most weekends driving around listening to music and shopping.
Maybe at some point they had little crushes on each other, but it didn't take much effort to realize they weren't meant for one another. So they continued their friendship, eventually Ten joining in the mix.
It was just the three of them for almost all of freshman year. They shared every aspect of their lives with each other, the three of them even sleeping in the same bed some nights when they partied a little too hard.
There was only one real fight between them that Jungwoo could remember. After a certain party in particular, where they all got unnecessarily wasted. The night ended with Ten and Jungwoo drunkenly making out and Johnny confessing his feelings towards Ten.
None of them really knew why it caused such a problem, Jungwoo and Ten only kissed for amusement, nothing more to it. Eventually, they worked it all out, Sicheng joining the group right around that time.
And the endless cycle repeated itself, Ten having a crush on Sicheng, and Sicheng falling for Jungwoo. After a night of exploration—minus Johnny—the three figured out none of them were meant for the other in a romantic way. Since then, the only crush in their little group was Johnny's, which obviously worked out eventually.
But, the friend group wouldn't have existed if it weren't for Johnny and Jungwoo's friendship. Everything rooted from those lost freshmen who weren't looking where they were going.

The two walked into the very lively mall, arms linked together so they didn't get separated. Johnny looked down at the younger, "Where to first?"
An excited smile formed on Jungwoo's face as he dragged the boy towards his favorite store. The interior was unbelievably pink and girly, and he absolutely loved it.
He immediately walked over to the skirts, looking over them closely to find any he didn't already own.
After an eternity of Jungwoo scrutinizing every detail of the store, he pulled Johnny over to the dressing rooms. He gestured for the elder to sit down in one of the chairs, knowing it would be awhile before they were done.
While Jungwoo was halfway into a top, his phone buzzed against the bench in the dressing room. He quickly pulled the shirt over his head and picked his phone up. A smile spread across his face when he saw a message from the Lucas.
💖Babie💖:
I hope you're having a good time with Johnny, angel. Call me when you get back?
💖Babie💖:
I love you so much
💖Babie💖:
I miss you so much
Jungwoo typed a response, realizing just how much he missed his boyfriend too. Their schedules hadn't really lined up nicely as both of them switched some of their classes.
Not wanting to keep Johnny waiting, he put his phone back down and quickly changed into his clothes. He decided what he was buying and walked out of the dressing room. "So how much money did you bring?" He joked.
A frown formed on Johnny's face, "I'll only spend my money on Ten, you don't deserve it anymore."
The younger slapped a dramatic hand over his chest before pulling the other towards the cashier. "Is there anywhere you want to go?" Jungwoo asked once they left the store after what felt like an eternity.
They both looked up at the same time, turning to give each other knowing smiles. "Food court!" They yelled simultaneously. They linked arms once again and set off down the towards the food court.
"I thought you weren't paying for me anymore?" Jungwoo asked as they sat down at a table with their food.
A groan slipped out of the elder, "I forgot about that—now you gotta pay me back."
Jungwoo smiled at him, "I think we can let this one slide. Thank you Johnny~"
"Yeah yeah whatever."

The urge I have to write a nineteenth century Chuuves fanfic—but there's barely any wlw content on this app—but I still might do it anyway.
Anyway my biggest accomplishment of 2020 is that I've unintentionally ruined two straight relationships because the girls fell for me without my knowledge. I feel kinda bad but also powerful.
Thanks for reading💖
