I welcome you all to the rewrite of what use to be my proudest idea.
I had no clue how to write back then.
I'm here now to offer to you a rewritten version of my Warriors fanfiction, Cloversong's Challenge, with better writing and actually written characters instead of the half-hearted blank pages that were called "cats". Maybe this time will be better.
Everyone, especially Cloversong, finally has flaws and character development rather than the flatlined fricks I've dealt with.
Bloodpaw, along with Poppypaw, were finally actually written. The third sibling isn't exactly a thing anymore. That didn't quite work, anyway.
Bloodpaw and Poppypaw fight often, sibling rivalry is fun. They always know what annoys the other, but they don't often hurt each other.
Cloversong is half-hearted. She keeps often to reminding herself that there isn't much to her prophecy and that the Clan had overdone their ideas.
Now, with that done, lets talk about villains.
Scorpionfang was his original name, as requested by the person I based him off of three or four years ago. Sadly, I've never talked to him since then, and "Scorpionfang" is a mouthful. So something similar would be nice.
I've decided on "Frostedfang". Dark brown fur with lighter, near white paws, like frost. At first I didn't realize how a similarity to Hawkfrost would be nice.
The "training in the Dark Forest" idea was cliche, and all I wanted to do was be "cool". Reminder, I was eleven. He still has relations to Hawkfrost, but its more as a descendant.
How about side characters? Those are fun. Like NPCs in a game of Dungeons and Dragons.
Lionwhisker! My favorite character in this story, WindClan's Medicine Cat and Cloversong's mentor. He's still the golden tabby he is, but he's also written better with flaws and strengths.
Some changes to side characters include the complete change of WindClan's deputy. I forgot the original deputy's name. I remember it being Stone something, but he's Lakewind now.
Diamondstar finally has actually anything to her character aside from being Leader. (Man, its been months since I've used these terms.)
Ah, her mother. Silverwing, was it? If it wasn't already, it's her name now. Silverwing is a cat with a neat little idea to her. Like Firestar, she was visited by a StarClan cat as a warrior. But unlike the Spottedleaf situation, this was only once. To tell her the "four leaves" prophecy.
Speaking of the Four Leaves prophecy, it's changed since then.
"The Four Leaves of the Clover will show the Clans peace."
Instead of bringing peace, the Clover will show the Clans peace. I think it's a better option that doesn't need unnecessary work.
I think that's all that's needed. Thank you all for reading this, and please enjoy what may be the sh*tshow the 2018 version was, just with better writing.
