I was walking out to my car from the studio when I heard small whimpers and what sounded like a girl crying. I headed in the direction to where I was hearing these sounds and I was led to an alley way that was across the way. I called into the darkness to see if I could get the persons attention. "Hey is everything alright?" I walked within the darkness and saw a patch of moon light shining upon a girl who looked about 16 or 17. I noticed that she was wearing tattered and ripped pyjamas. Was she homeless? She couldn't be? Where's her family? I asked myself. She shifted her body and I saw she had cuts and bruises all over her arms. The girl started to crawl away or at least tried to but her arms were too beaten to hold her body up. "Here let me." I spoke softly to her. I lifted her into my arms bridal style and I brought her shivering body to my car and headed off to my house. As I helped her inside I quickly grabbed the first aid kit from the closet. I lifted her up onto the counter so I could wrap her arms. I couldn't help but notice how beautiful of a girl she is. I just don't understand how all this could happen. "Why do you help?" I looked up. Her eyes staring into mine. Tear stains on her cheeks. "Is there something wrong with helping?" She shook her head. "Is there something wrong with ME helping?" Once again she shook her head. "Why do you help? You never seen me before ever, yet help me I was and am still stranger to you." I finished wrapping her arms and I placed blankets and even more blankets on her afterwards. She left words out of her sentences because she was shivering so much. I worried her teeth would shatter into millions of bits and pieces. "Could you tell me your name?" I asked her pulling her close to try and warm her. "Hay-den." she breathed.
