Y/N's POV
I kept admiring Chris's new Lamborghini. It was beautiful. He wanted to take Jimmy, Karl, Chandler, Jake and I out for drinks at the bar down the street. I've never been there. It was called Neil's Brew. "What do you like to drink?" I adjusted on the bar stool. "Whiskey." His face lit up, and he offered me a high five. "It's happy hour until 8, drinks are half off." The bartender spoke loud enough so everyone at the bar could hear. Chris ordered me three shots of Whiskey, along with a few for himself.
We'd been there for about an hour and a half, and I was pretty tipsy. Chris had almost 15 shots, he could barely sit up in his chair. Everyone was dancing to Morgan Wallen and having a really fun time. I just sat there and sang along. "Hi there, purdy lady." Chris slurred in a thick southern accent. The way he was acting had me laughing my ass off. He leaned closer and slid an arm around me, "Do ya wanna come dance?" I agreed and he took my hand. He immediately tried to lean in for a kiss but I stopped him, "Chris, you're drunk. You have no idea what you're doing." I placed my hand on his chest to hold him steady. I ended up taking a lot more shots that night. I can't remember anything else after the moment Chris tried to kiss me.
I woke up with a sore throat, and dry crusty eyes. I had no idea how I even got home, I don't remember it. I hope I didn't drive. I rolled over and saw a text from Chris.
Did I do anything last night?
Jimmy told me I was flirting with you.
But, I don't remember any of it.You tried to kiss me.
God, I'm sorry.
I didn't want to make him feel bad about it. People do a lot of things they regret when they're drunk.
I didn't mean to act that crazy.
That's why I don't drink often, I'm
way too bold.
Don't feel bad about it, it's
alright.I'd rather apologize in
person.
You really don't have to
apologize, I understand.
Do you mind if I come
over?I didn't mind. But, I wanted him to know that it wasn't necessary. He still insisted on coming over to talk about it. His head was hung in shame when I opened the door. I welcomed him in, and we both sat on the couch. He did everything to avoid eye contact with me. "Chris, you really didn't do anything wrong. You didn't force anything on me."
"I know how you felt about Jake and how uncomfortable he made you. I don't want to be anything like that." I could tell he was genuinely sorry. "You weren't like that. Yes, you tried to kiss me. But, you stopped when I asked you to." He finally lifted his head and focused his blue eyes on mine. In just a few minutes we were laughing about it. "I guess being drunk completely takes away my fears and let's me do what I can't do sober." He continued laughing. "So, what you're saying is that you wanted to do that sober?" He paused. After a long silence I spoke softly, "I was kidding, ya know?" He nodded. "I wasn't." He mumbled, barely audible. I was speechless. I tried to think about what to say for so long, but nothing came to mind. "I-I'm sorry. I don't know why I-." He was stuttering and getting lost in his words trying to apologize. I don't know if this was the right thing to do, but I had to let him know he had nothing to be sorry for. I slowly leaned forward and placed a kiss on his cheek. The second I saw how red he got, I knew it was the right choice. We sat there for a long time together. Pretending to watch whatever was on TV, trying to avoid talking about what happened. "Let me take you out." He broke the silence. "A date?"
"Mhm." I found the way his voice was shaking so adorable. "You don't have to be so nervous." That just made him even more flustered. I agreed to let him take me out. "How about a movie?"
"What would you want to see?" We looked on our phones to see what movies were in theaters. "Oh, look at this! I've been wanting to see this forever." I pointed to a new Disney movie that had came out. "A Disney movie?" I expected him to make fun of me, but he ended up talking about how much he enjoys Disney movies."I have to go do a couple things for Jimmy. I'll pick you up at 6?"
"Sounds good."
"How about another..." he tapped his cheek.
"You can wait for that." I smirked and shut the door. I have to feed Remy and take a shower before I'm ready to leave with Chris. I decided to wash some dishes as well to pass the time. I threw on some casual clothes and got my purse ready to go. Before I knew it, it was 6pm and Chris was knocking on my door.
