"Good morning, Dr. Lu! "a nurse greeted me when I went off of the elevator.

"Good morning" I greeted back with a smile and headed to my office. I just started working as a resident doctor a few months ago in our family's hospital.

Yes, being a doctor is a 'tradition' in our family. But thankfully, I wasn't forced. When I saw my mom reviving a person once during my childhood, I saw how passionate she was in helping others which made me dream the same.

After wearing my coat and looking at some records, I headed to the nurse's station.

"Good morning Nurse Shuxin," I greeted and smiled

"Good morning Dr. Lu." She greeted with a smile, "There's a new patient given to you by Doctor Kun." I said and discreetly massaged my head.

Doctor Kun is my senior and I can't say that he's nice although I understand that it's needed but sometimes he's a little too much specially in assigning patients.

"For real? I already have eleven patients at hand!" I said which made Shuxin chuckle

"Then make that twelve" I know that voice and it already sent shivers down my spine.

I slowly turned and chuckled nervously, "D-Doctor Kun" he didn't even look at me and just continued signing something in the records.

Shuxin and I glanced at each other before he spoke again, "You'll be handling a patient with apical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. it's very rare and she was transferred here from the other hospital last week." He said and finally looked at me, making me straighten my posture.

He sighed, "I'm just warning you, she's a little pain in the ass." He said before walking away.

I exhaled deeply. I didn't know that I was holding my breath when he looked at me, "He's so scary, isn't he?" I said and massaged my chest. I'm so nervous.

"But he's handsome right?" Shuxin said making me look at her with disgust but she just chuckled at me, "That patient is in room 402, she's a little jolly for her condition" she said and handed me the patient's chart.

I sighed and took it, "I'll study it with the other eleven charts for a while before I do my rounds." I said

"Goodluck on that doctor." She teasingly said which made me roll my eyes at her.

I spent a close one hour and ten minutes studying the charts before I headed back to the station to return some of them and started my rounds since I can't take them all at once, right?

It was already 11:00 AM when I finished more than half of my patients. I went back to the station to look at the charts again

I was in the middle of reading when I saw a patient running around the hall which made me furrow my brows. She was running energetically and frantically. This is the ward for chronic patients, right?
