Chapter 27:
Months had passed and honestly not much had happened. Cho and I spent more time together, I'd consider her a really close friend. I spent lots of time with the trio just doing homework and helping them with potions. Pansy and I had hung out one on one a couple of times to discuss her progress with Draco, she had become a lot closer with him ever since Buckbeak scratched his arm. Harry was probably one of my closest friends, he knew a lot about me. He had told me about his parents and about how Sirius Black was friends with his parents and betrayed them. If only he knew... Lastly, Cedric, pretty much non-existent. He hadn't stopped trying to talk to me, but I haven't stopped trying to ignore him. It was definitely hard, don't get me wrong. Ever since Harry told me that he thinks he fancies me, a small part of me wanted to believe it. And a small part of me started to have feelings for him too. I tried to deny it for so long, but I couldn't keep lying to myself. Key word: myself. I didn't tell anyone when I realized I had feelings. I mean they were small, it's not like they were major or anything. Plus, I hated having feelings for him. I couldn't bring myself to forgive him, but I also felt guilty for ignoring his efforts to fix things. But logically, I was sure he didn't return those feelings. I mean, only Harry and Draco know the truth about my time in Azkaban so he still thinks I had casted to curse, not to mention the fact I am a year younger than him so he probably is off with some other Hufflepuff girl. I pushed my feelings down for Draco's sake. Ever since I distanced myself from Cedric, Ben Harris seemed to disappear too. He still tried to bother me every once in a while with a snarky remark, but other than that he seemed to leave me alone. I had been able to relax for a couple of months, but soon, things were about to go down. It was time to execute the plan.
