It was almost 12:30 by the time we got to the park. Arkin ran off straight away and began climbing up the slide the wrong way. "Be careful! It's wet! If you slip you'll hurt yourself!" Timmy shouted running over and holding onto his waist as he continued to clamber up it. I laughed to myself as I pushed the pram over to a sheltered bench and sat down, Timmy was always so worried about the kids hurting themselves, he hated the danger. "Don't worry Tim, he does it a lot, he's never fallen before... But we need to let him learn by doing things for himself. And after all... Boys will be boys." He looked over to me as Arkin reached the top "I suppose you're right" he said, getting Arkin to hi-five him before walking over and joining me on the bench "and I guess the more we tell him not to do something, the more he'll want to do it." We both watched him closely as he went back down the slide and ran over to the climbing frame. "So what time are you meeting the others?" I asked as I cuddled closer to Timmy. "Well our train leaves a couple of minutes after three, so I'll get there about quater to" he replied, putting his arm around me and looking into the pram. Teagan was now awake and staring up at the toys hanging above her, trying to reach out to touch them. It was the first proper time Timmy had got to see her doing this, since she had only just started taking a proper interest in her toys a few days ago. Seeing his smile and the look of love in his eyes metled my heart, he didn't get to spend that much time with Arkin when he was a baby because they were working on an album and then a tour back then as well and he didn't even know Olly exsisted until he was 5, but thankfully once the boys have finished this tour they're getting a bit off time off... So we're going to plan a timetable so that Tim will get to start spending more quality one on one time with each of the kids.We stayed at the park until Arkin complained about being hungry, which was about 1:15. Tim had already given Teagan her latest feed, so we decided to go to a little sandwhich shop that was a few blocks away from the park. The sun was out now and it was getting quite warm. I was yet again pushing the pram while Timmy was carrying Arkin on his shoulders, it didn't quite feel right it only being the four of us. I still couldn't quite understand why Poppy was here all of a sudden and had wanted to take Olly out for the day... Especially without getting in touch with us first... It seemed nothing like what she'd usually do. But I just kept telling myself over and over again that she's his mum, and we have to be able to trust her with him. And she did deserve to see him after being so far away from him for so long.
Once we were all finished at the sandwhich shop it was almost 2pm, so we had to head back home so that Tim could get the rest of his bits ready and get to the station before his train left. Running late was a common thing for us, so it was no surprise when it got to 2:40 and he was only just bringing his bag downstairs.... He should've set off walking a good ten minutes ago if he wanted to get there for quarter to. "Quick come on Ark we have to go!" he shouted as he ran out of the front door and threw his bag into the car. I finished buckling Teagan in and slammed the door shut, turning around to look at Arkin who was still sat in the hall fiddling with his socks. "Mateeeee! We don't have time!" Timmy called, running back inside and grabbing him before putting him into his car seat shoeless. I ran back to lock the door before hurrying over, getting into the car and turning the key. "Daaaaaaaad! I need my shoeeeees!" Arkin moaned as his dad finished off putting him in the car.
"You'll be fine kiddo. We're in a rush here!" Tim replied as he got into his own seat.
"But my feeeeeet" he moaned again, starting to cry.
"Fine." He sighed, getting annoyed as he grabbed the keys from their holder, slammed the door shut and ran back inside. A couple of seconds later he came running back out and he locked the door before getting into the front of the car, and squeezing through the seats into the back, squishing himself in between the kids seats. It was a good job that Oliver did't need his booster seat anymore, otherwise that would've been in the back as well and so there'd have been no way that Timmy would've got in. "Just go." he said to me while he struggled to get a seatbelt on. Once I set off I looked into my mirror to see that he was putting a pair of shoes on Arkin. I laughed to myself. He hated seeing the kids upset, even if it was over something as small as this.
We arrived at the station at 2:52 to see the other boys and Lance standing and waiting in the entrance. "I'm kind of stuck" Tim said, I turned around in my seat to see that he physically didn't have enough room to get under Arkin's seat to unbuckle his own belt. I don't even know how he managed to get it on in the first place. Knowing that he was still in a rush, I quickly got out of the car and opened the side door. "A little help? Darren? Quick you're strong" I called before leaning in and pulling off the belt that was holding Arkin's seat in. Darren was stood next to me by this time and soon got the gist of what was going on, so together we both lifted the seat out while Arkin was still strapped into it. Both things were heavy enough on their own let alone together. Timmy quickly hopped out to stop us struggling with it any longer. Darren helped me to get it back in while Timmy grabbed his bag out of the boot and opened the other back door, kissing Teagan on her forehead then running around and kissing me and Arkin before saying his goodbyes and having to run off with the other boys. It was 2:59 when they went in... Which left them with only three minutes to catch the train. Oops.*6.04PM*
We waved goodbye to Timmy who had just finished a facetime call with us before he had to finish getting ready, luckily their train was delayed so they didn't miss it, and then it managed to catch up time on it's way so they were even a tad early arriving! I looked at the time on my phone. Poppy still wasn't back with Olly, I know that I could let her off a little bit with time, especially considering the fact that I know how hard it is to do something on time when you have kids, but I was getting slightly worried, I've got so much love for that little boy and I feel just as responsible for his safety as Timmy does.
At 6:55 there was a knock on the door. Finally, I thought to myself as I opened it to see Olly smiling away with bags in his hand. "Sorry we're late, we got stuck in traffic" Poppy said as she hugged him goodbye.
"You better get inside then mister! It's getting cold out here! I'll see you soon yeah? Love you mate." she said, leaning down a bit to his level and ruffling his hair.
"Okay mum, I love you too!" he said kissing her on the cheek before running off inside. She stood up and smiled.
"And don't forget to give your brother and sister their things!" she called in.
"ALRIGHT" came a little voice from deep inside the house.
"How was he?" I asked.
"Great as usual, sorry we took him like that but I just missed him so much" she said.
"It's fine" I laughed "So, how long you sticking around for this time?"
"A couple of weeks yet. We actually have tickets to see the last night of tour... And besides, there's something really important that I need to talk to you and T about.... And I think it's best to leave until after he's home" Poppy replied. The car parked outside the drive stared honking loudly, making us both look over. "Sorry.. He hates waiting around. Is it alright if I call in again sometime? To see Olly again? I won't bring the other half so I'll be able to come in and we can catch up?" She asked beginning to back away towards her partner's car.
"Yeah of course! You have the house phone number, just ring and let me know before hand!" I replied before watching her get in and wave before the car sped off again.I closed and locked the door before walking back into the room to talk to Olly about his day, but I couldn't help wondering. Who actually is this new boyfriend? Why does it seem to be him that's stopping Poppy coming in? If she's here for a couple more weeks... Why did she have to take Olly out today? And what did she have to talk to me and Timmy about that was 'really important'?
