Undying Love (GiyuuxReader)

Introduction

"Hurry back, okay? Be Careful! See you later!" Yelled out Tanjiro's family as he waved goodbye and headed into town to sell charcoal to have enough money for the New Year's Feast. When he got there he was always well recognized for his kindness, including his amazing keen sense of smell. It had been a while already and it was getting late but he still had some left. Just as he was about to go home he stopped as he heard the voice of a young woman call out to him.

"Excuse me, may I buy some charcoal?" She asked. He immediately turned around and was quickly taken aback by her beauty and unusual clothing she was wearing but shook that sudden thought away. She looked to be around the age of 18 or so.

"Of course, thank you so much!" He replied, she then smiled and thanked him back.

"No thank you for your kindness. What's your name?... And if I may ask, why are you still outside this late at night, it is very dangerous to be out here alone." She said.

"Oh well you see my name is Kamado Tanjiro and I want to sell enough charcoal to have money for the New Year's Feast and be able to provide for my family." He replied cheerfully. The young woman couldn't help but smile at his pure kindness even more which caused him to lightly blush.

"Well if that's the case then I'd like to buy all of the remaining charcoal you have, how much would that cost?" she calmly asked.

"Wow thank you so much! It's going to be 515.67 yen ($5) if that's okay with you,"he said.

"That's perfect." She assured him as she gave him money and put the charcoal onto her bag.

"Get home safely," she said as she turned around and left.

"You too miss.. wait... you gave me 1,030.18 ($10) instead of 515.67 yen ($5)!" he frantically said but before he could properly tell her she had already disappeared.

"Wow she was kind, and I forgot to ask for her name. I hope we can meet again" He told himself before picking up his basket and began to head back home. Little did he know the shocking tragedy he was about to go through would change his life completely.

Time skip~1 day later

"How did this happen?" Tanjiro asked himself as he suddenly encountered a young man in front of him holding his little sister Nezuko captive.

"Please stop. Please don't kill her" he begged as he kneeled, causing the young man to get angry and stab her on her chest. Tanjiro then shot up and attacked him but fainted from the impact he received on his back from the man's Katana. Suddenly the man was pushed by the demon and headed straight for her brother.

"No she's about to eat him!" he cursed to himself but his eyes slowly began to widen in disbelief as his demon sister protected her older brother Tanjiro instead. Remembering the boy's words "Nezuko would never eat anyone," only one thought came to mind as she lunged forward to attack him,

"Just maybe, these two may be different." He then whacked her neck causing her to pass out.

Time skip~

"I'm sorry we had to leave you, take care of Nezuko." Those were the words Tanjiro listened to before he shot his eyes open squeezing the brown cloak wrapped around his little sister Nezuko.

"Are you awake?" asked a deep voice.

As soon as he saw the young man who he had encountered earlier he quickly hugged his sister in a protecting manner.

"Go see an old man named Sakonji Urokodaki. Tell him Giyuu Tomioka sent you. Don't let your sister ever be exposed to sunlight." After nodding to his words Tanjiro was about to point out the pattern on Giyuu's left side of his haori due to it looking familiar from somewhere but he had already disappeared. And thus his new journey had begun all thanks to the one and only Giyuu Tomioka.
