One Month, 24 Days

Stiles P.O.V.

I didn't bother going to school today, the bruises still haven't healed on my face, and I don't plan on going to school looking like a monster.

I haven't been picking up Lydia's text or calls, I really didn't want to talk to her. Not because I hate her, it's Jackson I hate.

My Dad decided not to press charges on him, only because I said not too. But he said he'll talk to the principle, apparently he can't do this to me without getting some sort of punishment.

So I'm home alone, doing nothing as usual.

I walked down the stairs, and saw a picture of me and my Mom. It was before she died. She was smiling in the photo, and so was I. I really missed her when she died, but I know now she's somewhere better than this shit hole we call Earth.

But let's get out of my pity party.

I decided to go to the library, and pick up some books for school and for myself. And before you judge me, books are awesome, they bring you to a whole different world, one where you even want to live.

I picked up my keys, and went to the library.

On the way there, I saw trouble. I stopped at a red light, and a car was right beside mine. I looked to my right, and that was my mistake. There was Jackson, and his friends, I couldn't really hide, because I'm literally the only one in Beacon Hills that has a blue jeep.

So all I did was hope that Jackson didn't notice me, and thank god he didn't.

As soon as the light went green, I stepped on the gas and drove away far from Jackson.

When I got out from my Jeep, a dog ran over to me. I decided to pick it up, because I have a soft spot for dogs.

"Hey there buddy, looks like you lost your owner." I said in a baby voice.

I heard someone behind me clear their throat. Once I turned around, all the color from my face drained.

It was Lydia. Of course this had to be her dog. I gently gave back her dog. And created some space between us.

"Look Stiles-" Lydia said.

"You don't have to say anything. I get it, your Jackson's girlfriend, why should I believe that I was ever yours?"

I turned back around, and walked to the library door, until Lydia stopped me.

"Look, Jackson and I are through. We were never together anyways......." She looked down like she wanted to say something more, but was holding back on it.

"Is that all, because I'm sorta busy?"

"I'm yours...." Was all she said, before leaving with her dog. And leaving me in shock. I'm sure she said I was hers, but let's hope my ears weren't playing tricks on me.

I really want Lydia to be mine.
