Miles to go

I have come a long way,
And still there are miles to go
The deep waters of trials,
From those, I have been through,
And the muddy channels of gloom,
I have been there too.

There were losses I suffered,
And motley of sufferings along the path that appeared,
Through them I gathered myself and  walked once more,
For still there are miles to go.

In the labyrinth of issues
I plodded through,
And thereby decisions I took,
For which
I was questioned, by all, mocked was I,
But did they know,
The extent of pains I took, the regrets that ensued,
They didn't, no.
And yet, taking courage, I stepped forward
For I have trekked this far and there are still miles to go.

The shines of hope was there,
And so was the glee and its glow,
Their appeal so strong, luring me to stay,
Along the path, but, is glint of aurora,
Asking me to keep moving with the flow.

I walked, I hobbled,
I lurched, I stumbled,
But never once, did I stop
For I know that there are still several miles to go,
..... Many, many miles to go.
