Wolsingham, England

The night brought low temperatures and the need for warm blankets. The silence of the forest and the calmness of the small town Eleanor found herself in brought her a sense of comfort and a place were she could quietly consider her next move. In the morning she was going to the nearest bus station and try to find a way out of the small town and into a big city where she could easily move from and to Edinburgh.

She opened her suitcases as she remembered of James picking them up and giving them to her, he has been the kindest soul she has come across, he even payed for her lodgings without her asking! The ocean deep blue of his eyes wouldn't leave her mind, his thoughtfulness for her well being was extremely admirable, the way he cared for a stranger in need made her mentally praise his parents for raising such an amazing man.

Eleanor had a long phone call with Nicole about the events of today, her friend was in complete shock and couldn't comprehend why the man had gone to such great lengths to do what he did.

"Please tell me you got his number." Nicole inquired in a serious note.

"What? No! I don't have his number!" Eleanor protested playing offended.

"You're telling me your prince charming just pulled up in a Benz, rescued you, payed for your stuff and you didn't ask the man for his number?" Nicole seriously protested.

"Of course I didn't! He already did so much for me I wasn't going to ask him for more. Plus, he looked busy and in a hurry, he left without looking back. He probably has more important things to deal with than a lost girl in the middle of nowhere." Elle said.

Nicole sighed, "He just left? After paying for your stuff?" She curiously wondered.

"Yes, he wished me good luck and went on his way. Regardless, I'm thankful I had so much luck this time, I was honestly scared something bad would happen to me if I stayed on that damn road alone for longer." Eleanor remarked as she took her pajamas out of one of her suitcases.

"That's true, you had luck this time. Ugh, I hope everything goes well from now on, these situations are scary."

"I know right!" Eleanor manifested.

"Well, I will go so you can sleep and rest, you had a long car drive." Nicole said as she tried to pursue Eleanor into resting.

"I know, I will go now. I will call you tomorrow and update you!" Both of them said goodbye and ended the call. Today has been an eventful day for Eleanor and she could only hope for tomorrow to be more calm and peaceful. Her biggest issue now was to get to Edinburgh on time, which was already an impossible task to accomplish, which meant that she would have to call in very early in the morning and hopefully get her interview rescheduled.

The car was also another problem, would it be ready by tomorrow? She made a mental note to call the auto shop and ask for an update on her car. If it wouldn't be ready then Eleanor had to find another solution, maybe going by bus, train or taxi.

She sighed heavily, not believing her situation. On top of everything, her parents haven't tried to contact her, there was not one single message or call from their part, their total lack of interest was evident and she felt extremely hurt. Didn't her mom had a part of her that wanted to check on her daughter to see if everything is fine? For a few moments a random stranger cared more for her than her own parents and that cruel realization made her heart sink.

Eleanor considered the idea of calling and updating them on her current situation, but calling now and telling them they were actually right and things went wrong with her plans wasn't necessarily something she wanted to deal with. She didn't want to give them the pleasure of saying 'I told you', she didn't want them to quietly celebrate their victory in her failing.
