"You are not close enough to me to be able to convince me with your lies and promises of goodness"

"Just so you know- just because I agreed to this doesn't mean that we are friends now"
Dion muttered to Allan and Jake as they walked down the hallway.

Jake and Allan had picked Dion up from his dorm in the morning, wanting to get closer to him on that particular rainy Saturday. They had decided to show Dion around town a little, go to a cafe or a local park that he would enjoy. It was safe to say that it took a long while to get Dion to agree, being both grumpy and studious in the mornings. They found him in his dorm, sitting by his desk since six in the morning studying for who knows what and what knows when.

"Of course, I'm happy you agreed"

Dion huffed silently but kept his expression cold like always, not feeling the need to change it. They passed the glass doors of the west wing and walked down the stairs towards the entrance of the building. On the surface Dion seemed cold and unbothered about going outside, but on the inside he felt quite nervous. He doesn't go out much, and had never dared to explore the capital either. He gulped at the sight of the entrance doors.

"Why can't I go to the city like my cousins?"

Little Dion pouted to his governess, feeling bored of the lesson already. He was already five years old, soon to turn six and he was old enough to go out among the people! Going out to the forest on a walk with the governess was one thing, but he wanted to see the cities he read about so often. Why couldn't he live freely like his cousins? They visited him once and bragged about all the places they have seen, but Dion has only seen his own home and his fathers residence on the outskirts of the capital.

"Your cousins are not the sons of Derix Elton like you are Dion, they live more freely because they don't have the same responsibilities. You know the rules, so don't try to break them now"

The little boy sighed and looked down. He really wanted to go see the people, see the city. Every time the guards drove him to fathers residence, the car windows were blocked by curtains and Dion wasn't allowed to see the outside. It couldn't be that his father was hiding something from him? Dion immediately widened his eyes at his own thoughts. How could he ever think negatively about father?

"Dion"

The boy froze up immediately at the strict deep voice. He stood up as fast as he could and bowed, keeping his eyes strictly on the ground and holding his shaking hands close to his body.

"Father"

The black haired leader walked up to Dion, who's breath hitched silently and he didn't dare to look up.

"Don't ask such questions when you know they are against the rules. Have I not raised you properly?! How dare you go against me like this?! When I make rules I expect you to follow them without further questions, and you better do so, understand!?"

Dion nodded frantically, tears brimming in his eyes but not daring to be let out.

"I'm sorry father, it won't happen again"

His father frowned at him and Dion gulped.

"It better not. A true leader doesn't apologize because a true leader doesn't do any mistakes. Every time you apologize for your actions, it means that you have failed. Do not fail me again"
