PROLOGUE

Prologue: (Draft)

As I walk through the halls, I shove my hands into my pockets. I hope to Arceus he doesn't see me. I adjust my back back on my shoulder, hearing the weight of my egg. Tears fill my eyes as i rember how i got this egg and I go deep into thought...

FLASH BACK

"Y-your moving away?" I asked unable to keep the shock out of my voice. Darinda pushed her hair behind her ear and looked down at the ground. "Yeah... to the Kalos region." She murmured. "That's a long way from Sinnoh..." I said. "Yeah, I'm really sorry, it's not my choice, it's mom's." She said. I wrapped my arms around her in a tight embrace. She wrapped her arms around me in return, squeezing twice as hard as me. "I promise I'll come back one day..." She whispered into my ear. "I brought you something to remember me by" She said, pulling a black egg out from her backpack with purple polka dots. "I don't know what pokemon it is, but I want you to have it." She said, placing the warm egg into my arms. Surprised at how heavy it was I almost dropped it. "CAREFUL!" She yelled. I felt some sweat drop from the back of my neck. Darrinda always did get a bit yelly. I sighed. "I'll miss you." I said. "No need to worry! We'll see each other in no time!" She said. I smiled at her confidant aurora.

BACK TO THE PRESENT

I didn't know how long I was thinking but I slammed into something tall and broad. I backed away looking up, and was faced with Nikolas harsh stare. His face immediately relaxed when he saw me, knowing that I'm easy pickings. He laughed and looked down at me. "Better watch where you going. You know what the consequences are for that, right?" He said. I really didn't want to get beat up today. With a sudden blast of adrenaline, I turned on my heals and bolted forward. I knew I would be faster since I was so short. "What!? You get back here, punk!" He said stumbling to gain on me. I was almost there when my backpack fell off my shoulder. I looked back to see Nik making his way on me. I could come back for it later. I threw the boys bathroom door open and ran into the first stall I saw. Shortly after imense banging came from the other side. "Come on Mike, come out! If you comply I'll have some mercy before I smash you face in..." He said with bitterness dripping from his voice.

"WAH!? AGGGHH!" I heard him scream. I heard muffled cries of whom i determined to be Nik. Soon it stoped. I opened up the stall slowly, not knowing if it was a trick. The bathroom didn't have a soul in it, other then me. "Uh, hello?" I asked. "Ah, I'm glad to see your alright!" A cheerful voice said. I looked around but still saw no one. "Ah, yes, you can't see me. Very well..." And suddenly a ghastly was floating right in front of me. "Did you come from my..." I asked. He nodded his head, which was technically his while body. "Looks like I hatched in the nick of time!" He said. I nervously laughed. "Yup." I said. "We're gonna be best friends, I can feel it!" He said joyfully.

A/N Hey guys, so this is something that's been in my head for a bit and I'm just now writing it down, so this is how Mike and Gengar knew each other, and dont worry, I already have the first few chapters being reviewed for editing and so on.
