Hot. My bed is so hot. I probably needed to turn on the A.C. My eyes fluttered open. Ugh. my room's light is so bright. Blink blink. Wait- this isn't my room. I sat up with a start. Water, sand, sun... Where the heck was I? I stood up on my shaky legs.
The island slowly turned in a circle so I could get a good look at it. It was a small island, I guessed no more than 2 miles long. I could see the other side from where I was standing. Like in all the deserted island pictures, there was a singular palm tree in the center, slightly more to the left side.
How did I get here? I wondered. I tried to think back to what I was doing before. What was I doing before? I did something different every day of the week. But, what had I been doing last? What day of the week WAS it?
The tree finally noticed I was there. He had three coconuts hanging from his head. He nodded at me and flashed a woody smile.
"How- where am I?" I asked the tree. "Who are you?"
"Questions. So very many questions. However, I may only reply to one at a time. I am an old tree you know, I forget what I'm saying halfway through my sentences sometimes," He replied in a gravelly voice.
"Who are you?"
He bowed. "I, my friend, am Sir Woodly Woodle Thee Eleventh. And who are you?" Sir Woodly Woodle Thee Eleventh said.
"I- I'm Miss Arwn Eclestone. Thee, uh first."
"Pleasure to meet you Miss Arwn Eclestone thee first."
"Where are we Sir Woodly Woodle Thee Eleventh?"
"Ah," He motioned his arms outward. "We are on a small deserted Island."
"Oh." I understood now. "So," I sat down. "What do we do around here?"
"I find it best to sit here and watch as the sun moves back and forth across the sky." Sir Woodly Woodle Thee Eleventh sad. "And what do like to do Miss Arwn Eclestone thee first?"
"I like to sit and watch the clouds move back and forth across the sky."
"Ah." We both laid back and watched the sky. My stomach rumbled, and I remembered that there was no food on this island.
"Sir Woodly Woodle Thee Eleventh, what is there to eat on this small deserted Island?"
"Well, nothing really Miss Arwn Eclestone thee first. I found it best to starve until I died, and then grow."
"Ah. That is a good Idea Sir Woodly Woodle Thee Eleventh." I sat there and starved. Three minutes later I was as tall as Sir Woodly Woodle Thee Eleventh.
"You made a good choice Miss Arwn Eclestone thee first." Sir Woodly Woodle Thee Eleventh said. I sat back down and we turned our heads toward the sky to watch the clouds and the sun.
"Where are we?" A small voice said. We looked down to see a young human talking to us.
"On a small deserted island. I am Sir Woodly Woodle Thee Eleventh, and this is Miss Arwn Eclestone thee first. Who are you?"
"I'm Ralbr Willums."
"Come, sit with us," Sir Woodly Woodle Thee Eleventh said.
