Prologue

Oliver is a lonely person. He lives in the castle of Nightingale, and is expected to become the new king at the age of 18. He doesn't want to be king, but he is an only child, and his father demandes it. He is also expected to find a wife to make his queen before he becomes 18, and with his birthday only being a few months away, the castle is flooded with suitors from all the neighboring kingdoms, demanding his attention. He is currently in a secret relationship with one of the maids named Itzel, and he truly does believe that he is very happy with her. However things started to change. He felt grossed out and uncomfortable around her. And started to pay more attention to feelings he had been ignoring from a very young age. He doesn't understand why that is the case, but he feels as if it is because of how secret the relationship was. He didn't know that there could be a bigger reason that would soon turn into a deadly secret. A secret that could have him banished and even executed. Luckily for him, a young village boy that works at the stables, will help him realise his true feelings. If only he could figure out why the boy hated him so much.

Kai is a poor commoner working as a street vendor to support his mom. He lives a pretty happy life with his two best friends Ray and Sally. But his happiness wont continue for long. The royals are holding back supplies for the villagers, so everything is becoming more expensive and hard to get. Kai needs to find a new job to support his mom, or else he will starve. He recently heard that the castle is looking for someone to work in the stables so he decides to put aside his resentment of the royals and work there. He soon discovers that he just made the best and worst mistake of his entire life. As he meets the heir to the throne.
