A while later, the train stopped. I have arrived at Hogwarts... My stomach was turning and I was very nervous. Harry put a hand on my shoulder, seeing the look I had on my face. I opened the carriage door, and we were all told to get in a line. I was behind Hermione, at the back of the line. All four of us made a promise that we'll stick together for the year. We all became very close friends. It seemed like we've been friends forever, even though we just met. Everybody walked in a line, following the adult who worked in the train, into Hogwarts. Hermione turns around and said "Im nervous Y/N.." I told her that it will be okay, and everything will go fine. She nodded her head, and we both folowed Harry and Ron in the line. We walked into the great hall. Professor Dumbledore greeted all of us, and told everybody that this will be a great year. He started to call the names, and sort the children into their houses. After a few others, Professor Dumbledore had called Ron to get sorted. The 3 of us watched them put the hat on him and and figure out what house he will be in. The hat chose quite quickly, as the rest of his family had always been in Gryffindor. He told us that on the train, and Ron was indeed sorted into Gryffindor. Hermione was next. I patted her back, and reminded her it will be just fine. She sat in the chair and they put the hat on her. The hat telling her she was smart, brave, loyal, and had courage. "GRYFFINDOR" the hat hollered. Hermione went to the Gryffindor table with Ron, and sat down with everybody else. It was my turn next. I thought to myself, "I hope im sorted into Gryffindor.. my dad is a Gryffindor. But my mum is a Ravenclaw.." Professor McGonagall put the hat on my head. The hat had a very hard time figuring out what house I should be sorted into, it took a solid 2 to 5 minutes. Everybody was dead silent, and I was getting worried. The hat then said "I see... curious.. intelligent.. adventurous.. but also brave.. courageous.. competitive.." My cheeks were turning a bit red, being up there for so long. In the middle of my thinking session, "GRYFFINDOR" the hat yelled, and all the Gryffindors cheered. Hermione and Ron waved me over to sit by them, and we waited for Harry to be sorted. "GRYFFINDOR" the hat said for Harry. Dumbledore looked at Harry and signaled him to come sit with us. We were all sorted into Gryffindor! All four of us were filled with joy, smiling at eachother. All the houses have a prefect. The Gryffindor prefect's name is Percy Weasley, Ron's brother. We all followed Percy in the grand staircase. "Watch your step everyone! These stairs happen to.. move.." Percy lead you all to a picture with a pretty lady on it. The lady said "Password, please?" and Percy said "Caput Draconis." The lady put out her hand out and the picture moved. Percy signaled his hand for us to go in. We all went to our dorms, and we were given our stuff back. I got Noelle back, and she hooted. Harry has an owl too. It's name is Hedwig, and Hedwig and Noelle get along quite well. We were all given robes, we got red robes. "The color of your robe is based on your house color." Percy told us. He told us that when we wake up, we have to get dressed, and put on our robes. The girls wear skirts, and the boys wear pants. Or you can wear either. But that's what I saw the other Gryffindors doing. I went to change, and get into bed. Ron, Hermione, and Harry got dressed too. We brushed our teeth, and went to sleep.
The next morning, Harry came and shook us awake, Hermione yawned and lightly wacked Harry's arm with a book that was on her small table. "Ow" Harry said. "Oh please, I didn't even hit you that hard. Be smart, Harry."
I laughed and went to get dressed. We all put on our robes and looked at our schedules.
"Potions, History of Magic, Defence against the Dark Arts, Astronomy, Transfiguration, Charms, and Herbology."
"My first class is potions!" Harry said. Me, Hermione, and Ron all have the same. We headed to the dungeons, and into potions class. "Today we are brewing the Draught of Living Death potion." Professor Snape said, giving us all a cold stare. "First we will need to add the infusion of Wormwood, add the Powdered root of Asphodel, stir twice clockwise, add the Sloth brain.. the Sopophorpus bean's juice, and then stir 7 times clockwise." I looked at Hermione with widened eyes, her staring back at me. Professor Snape was quite scary.. and he kept giving us an eye. Me and Hermione paired up and made the perfect potion, while Harry and Ron weren't doing so well. Snape walked towards us and looked at our potion. He picked the small glass up and held it infront of his eye, examining every part of it. He then looked at us and nodded. "This is acceptable, Ms Granger and Y/N Y/L/N... 10 points to Gryffindor." Me and Hermione high fived eachother and smiled while Snape put down the potion and walked away. Harry and Ron looked at us with they're mouths ajar, because they hadn't finished nearly as fast as me and Hermione. After class we stayed to clean up the potions for Snape. We went to all of our other classes and successfully managed to complete every one. We all went to go explore the courtyard, and talk about how we like Hogwarts so far. Ron said he wanted to introduce us to his siblings. He took us to the Gryffindor common room, Ron said they told him he would be there. When we arrived, they were waiting on the sofas. "Okay. You've already met Percy. But these are my two twin brothers.. Fred and George."
They are IDENTICAL. "Brilliant!" Harry said. I could not tell them apart! Neither could Harry or Hermione! I pointed at Fred and said "George" then I pointed and George and said "Fred." They both looked at eachother then back at me, and they said I was correct! "Really!?" I said, then they said "No, you silly! Honestly, Y/N you call yourself our friend." "How do you know my name? I haven't even introduced myself!" I said to Fred and George, "Well Ron already told us about you three! You seem like fun fellows!" They both laugh while the rest of us are serious. Percy clears his throat and scoffs. "Well, I'm going to head off. I have important duties as head boy."
The twins laugh and mock Percy, "Head boy blah blah blah! Im Gryffindor Prefect, Percy Weasley blah blah!" Then George makes a funny face. Ron, looks at us, embarrassed of his brothers, while me, Harry, and Hermione are giggling. Percy leaves with an attitude and looking annoyed. "Well, that was fun." Harry said. "Well, now we're all friends!" Fred said to us. Hermione rolled her eyes and smiled, walking to her dorm. "Catch you guys later!" I said, following Hermione. We both got dressed and then sat on the bed and studied together. Me and Hermione were studying for Charms class. We had to study "Flipendo" the Knockback Jinx spell. I am very good at Charms, while Hermione said she really enjoys Arithmancy class. She said it was wonderful! Harry asked us if we wanted to walk around the halls. We agreed and went for a small walk just to get water, but we happened to come across somebody. Somebody in a different house. Somebody not very nice...
