"The Eligius Corporation tells us the simulation's numbers are still being tallied on their personnel to determine the team-"
"The team who agreed to take the simulation to its last stages have refused to comment-"

Muting the TV in my kitchen I toss the remote onto the kitchen island with a clatter. It's been everywhere for the past two weeks. Every reporter dying to know what has taken place in the Simulation I created and how effected we have become. It's my understanding this was streamed live to the people of the world. Everyone rooting and wanting to see the ends which we would take to survive. For the entirety of our species.
And we all know it wasn't pleasant nor clean.
Passing through my home I reach the foyer and gaze upon the stacks and stacks of files. All allocated to personnel who undertook my Simulation. From what Becca tells me they contain the scores for each of the traits we had been searching for within each candidate; Courage, Adaptivity, Leadership, Faithfulness, Loyalty, Resourcefulness, Political and Logical Thinking. If we do locate this planet then we will need these qualities when boots finally hit the ground.
Thumbing the side of a box I drop my hand once again unwilling to begin. Guilt rolls in a ball within my stomach and I just cannot bring myself to open even one. These people were my friends and I subjected them to a false identity and murder. It's taken me a week at least to have the pieces of my life fall back into place from this reality. How they are coping with this starch tear back into this life... the guilt is gnawing away at me.
