Chapter 27: The Horrifying Scene

The air vibrated with the clang of steel, a cacophony of clashing swords and daggers punctuated by the guttural growls of Alphas and the whimpers of the wounded Betas. The blood moon cast an eerie crimson glow on the scene, intensifying the already brutal battle.  Alphas held the upper hand, but fought with a cautious ferocity, wary of Dongshik's ruthless efficiency in targeting Taehyung. Each time a Beta fell, Dongshik seized the opportunity to strike at Taehyung, his attacks swift and merciless.

As Dongshik claims, Female Alpha's pheromones work better during the blood moon to act as if it was aphrodisiac which also was disadvantaged for the Alphas since they were almost looks like in their pre rut.

Jin, Namjoon, and Hoseok were trying their best to save Taehyung because every time they would go near Taehyung, arrows lit with fire would come out of nowhere and they were avoiding them because they could feel something was off with those arrows. Not because of the fire but because they saw one of the Alphas literally die right after he was hit with the arrow which is very odd to consider.

Namjoon, surrounded by three snarling Betas, fought with the desperation of a cornered animal.  His breath came in ragged gasps, his muscles screaming in protest.  He dodged a blow, the arrow grazing his shoulder, tearing a searing path through his flesh. His vision swam, his knees buckling under the strain.  The world seemed to tilt, the sounds of battle fading into a dull roar.

“Fuck these Betas,” Namjoon cursed under his breath as he was panting heavily while being surrounded by three of them.

“Namjoon!” Jim shouted and dragged Namjoon out of those Betas who were about to attack him after seeing his weakened state but those Betas fell to the ground when Hoseok appeared on top of Jin and threw kunai knives while he was on the air and those kunai perfectly stabbed them on their napes.

“What should we do? Jungkook was restraining his strength or else, his omega would die,” Hoseok whispered while him and Jin were covering Namjoon who were trying to heal himself even though it would heal faster if omegas did it.

“He was surrounded right now, we couldn't even get near Taehyung to save him,” Namjoon responded and let out a pain groan.

“Do you have any plans?” Jin asked Namjoon knowing Namjoon would decide better in this kind of situation.

“Just keep attacking, I'll make way for all of you,” they were surprised when Jimin appeared in front of them, literally dragging those dead bodies of Betas with him. “but make sure to get Taehyung away from this place,” his voice sent chill to their spines.

It was obvious he was not sane right now because even though how chaotic the situation is, he looks way more calm than anyone. His eyes don't even show any emotion to them, they were plain.

“And if we failed?” Jin asked, looking at Jimin.

“I'll kill all of you then,” it doesn't sound joking but it was threatening.

Hoseok glanced at Jin who just sighed and nodded his head.

“Fine, we'll follow you,” Jin responded.

Jimin didn't say anything and started running. They followed him, they knew he was strong but it still surprised them how he easily managed to get rid of anyone in their way with ease as if they were nothing. The only thing they did was to make sure those arrows wouldn't reach them at any cost.

Dongshik, witnessing Jimin's arrival, roared his fury.  "Kill him!"  He lunged at Taehyung, his spear a deadly extension of his rage.  But Jimin intercepted him, his grip on the spear shaft crushing the wood.

“It ends now, you bastard!” Jimin snarled, his voice a guttural rasp.  With a sickening crack, he snapped the spear in two, the broken pieces scattering on the blood-soaked ground.

The fight that followed was a brutal dance of death. Jimin's movements were a blur, his attacks precise and deadly. Dongshik, despite his ferocity, was no match for Jimin's speed and strength. A brutal kick sent Dongshik flying, his body smashing through a tree trunk before slamming against the border wall, a grotesque parody of a human form.

Seizing the opportunity, Jin and Hoseok snatched Taehyung and fled, leaving Jimin to finish the job.

“You should know your limits,” Jimin's voice was a death knell, a chilling whisper that echoed through the carnage.

As Jimin was walking near him, Jihwa appeared in front of Jimin and stabbed Jimin with a dagger on the shoulder.

“Why don't you try to fight me, Oppa?” Jihwa smirked as she deepened the dagger on Jimin's shoulder.

She was not confident, she was trying to hide the fact that her brother didn't even flinch and weaken what she just did which supposedly worked because she already did it multiple times to Alphas she fought with.

“Sure, why not?” Jimin spoke so bluntly.

When Jihwa tried to get her hand out of the dagger's handle, Jimin put his hand on top of her hand, forcing the dagger out of his shoulder and twisting her hand. Jihwa screamed in pain but Jimin started to drag her out of the battlefield.

Dongshik did not hesitate to slowly stand up and walk to run away from the battlefield. Dongshik, weakened but not broken, attempted a desperate escape.  But at the gate, he was met by Jungkook, his eyes glowing with an infernal, blood-red light. The sight was enough to paralyze him with terror.

His eyes widened in horror when Jungkook appeared in front of him with his eyes glowing bloody red.

“Where do you think you're going?” Jungkook's voice was a low, menacing growl.

He's insane....

That's what Dongshik thought the moment his eyes met Jungkook. Dongshik's mind reeled.  Jimin's aura was terrifying, but Jungkook's was a force of nature, a tempest of pure, unadulterated rage.

“We're not done yet, are we?” Jungkook's words were a prelude to a horrifying end.

Dongshik choked and could barely comprehend what just happened. He only felt Jungkook's claws dug deeper on his neck. He was also lifted in the air without him realizing.
