Grayson Bailey

After happily agreeing to go out to eat with Ethan, I showed him to our chemistry class which we had in common. Going out with him was the least I could do for him after he rescued me from Chase, Lucas and Jaxon.

With a promise of meeting on the steps outside school, I made a quick trip to the mens' room after school that day while Ethan waited by the exit. I dashed to the sinks and splashed cold water on my face. I didn't want to look gloomy or homeless but the sad fact was, I was exactly what I didn't want to be. I stood for a minute in front of the washbasin, watching the droplets of water fall into the ceramic bowl under me. Grabbing a paper towel, I dabbed my face dry. After making a quick trip to my locker and haphazardly stuffing books in my bag which I'd require to study later that evening, I walked to the exit.

Rationally, I had no clue why Ethan helped me and cleaned me up, let alone offer to take me to lunch. I was such a pessimistic person, I could barely trust myself at times. I guess my brain is accustomed to hazards. Probably Ethan is paired with Chase and his buddies and they're going to kidnap me and beat me....or worse, kill me.

On the bright side, I was great at reading people and since he hadn't done anything hurtful, I guess he deserved the benefit of the doubt. Sighing and shaking my head, I push open the double doors and I stare into a sea of students. Ethan was nowhere to be found. I guess he bolted.

"Grayson!",I suddenly my name being called which was surreal but I knew it was Ethan. Turning to my left, I saw him leaning against the metal railing that lined the concrete ground and a smile spread across my face. He had his car keys and phone in hand. I made my way to him.

I was mute but not blind. While Ethan helped me get cleaned up, I had been observing his beauty and for a moment, I thought of how it would feel if I kissed him but obviously he's straight. I mean, just take a look at him and you'll know. If he were gay, let's assume he is even though he isn't, he wouldn't be interested in someone damaged and ugly like me.

'Hi E-t-h-a-n.' I spelled in sign language because it was impossible to spell a name without breaking it down to its key alphabets. Ethan looked at me with bewilderment. Oh that's right, he doesn't know to sign. I pulled out my phone and typed the salutation in English and he immediately replied with a wink.

"Do you have a car?",he asked and I nodded my head no. "Alright, let's take mine." He came close to me and slung his arm over my shoulders and I tensed up. "It's this way.",he said and pointed to a large, metallic blue car that stood not that far away.

Jesus Christ! This guy is rich! As we approached the car, I happened to gaze in its beauty. It was a BMW 6 Series and I remember it distinctly because I had gazed at the same car in AutoCar a while back. This car is the belter of luxury.

Opening the Notes app on my phone, I typed the words 'Lovely ride.' Ethan smiled and thanked me for the compliment. He opened the door for me and I hopped in; him running to the other end and jumping in a flash.

He started up the car and adjusted the rear view mirror to his requirements. He asked me for my phone and I kindly placed the tiny device in his semi-large hands. "I've connected it to the car's Bluetooth. Go ahead and play whatever you want." He shot me one of his cutest smiles, causing my heart to flutter and he pulled away from the school parking lot.

I clicked the shuffle button of my music library and the first song began to play. Oh...no..no..no. Not that song.

"Shit, is that Elton John? He's like the best of pop! Good choice Grayson!",Ethan nudged me with his elbow as he sang the lyrics.
