Aleisha was sitting in class listening to her history professor go on and on about how this year was going to be different from the last (you know, the same lecture you hear at the beginning of every year )
Aleisha was sitting on the second bench with her textbook and her favourite set of highlighters.
Her all time rival ie Ben Gross was sitting on the first row mumbling something under his breath. The classroom was a bright yellow colour with the letters "AP HISTORY by Proffesor Connor" written in bold letters.Ben gross was Aleisha's ultimate rival of all time. It wasn't like they detested each other or anything they were just very competitive towards each other especially towards studies since kindergarden.
Aleisha just didn't like the idea of someone being smarter than her."Goodmorning you young brilliant minds.
Welcome to facing history and yourselves.
This is not going to be your typical history class, we are going to be unpacking some very difficult subjects like uh slavery and the holocaust.
Think of this as a ride on a tour bus through some of the darkest moments of our history..."The door slammed open and in came a familiar face with a sexy brown backpack and V neck blue T shirt with his hands over his head like he was some kind of a model.
Paxton Hall Yoshida?
No way!Paxton scanned the room and sat on the only blank seat available.
The one in front of Aleisha.Aleisha couldn't believe her eyes.
Paxton?
Retaking history?
Paxton fucking hall Yoshida was in her class???
Had the gods finally forgiven her?
Was the world playing games on her?Aleisha had the biggest crush on Paxton ever since he set foot on campus.
In fact, she could even name all the classes he had taken in his lifetime of being in her school.Yes, it was that bad.
And his body.
Oh, goddamn his body.Aleisha let go of her dream since she realised that someone like Paxton was definitely not for someone like her.
I mean just look at him.
With his sexy pushed back dark brown hair ,brown eyes hair and perfectly aligned face.
Next to that she was just a regular walking talking zombie.
Or something like that.Self esteem wasn't really Aleisha's good point.
Aleisha recalled all the days she pretended to be dating Paxton on her mind to ease her stress about her boring life and the nights she spent inventing fake scenarios she could dream about him so that she could finally sleep.
Oh, Paxton.
If only you knew.Actually it'll be better if he didn't.
Aleisha was definitely not looking for a heartbreak.
Even though she knew nothing about heartbreaks, Nick Jonas marrying Priyanka Chopra was heartbreaking enough.Yes, you heard that right.
The fact that Nick Jonas married an Indian woman and not her?
The audacity!
Even though Aleisha could spell out all the words in all his songs, he chose her?
Talk about Betrayal!
It was so bad that her bestfriends Jenny and Rhea had to come over and cheer her up with her favourite extra dark chocolate ice cream and watch Netflix all day.
Speaking of Jenny and Rhea.
Jenny was her first American friend here.
She was known for her vintage clothes and her love for acting . She had caramel brown hair and a beautiful smile.
She was an absolute sweetheart.Rhea was her moms bestfriends daughter.
She was also Indian and she lived just a few blocks away from Aleisha's house.
She also had a boyfriend and was, I guess you can say totally badass.
Her parents were chill though.
So Aleisha could give her that.Anyway, coming back to the point.
If Nick Jonas could ruin Aleisha's vision for love imagine what a certain Paxton Hall Yoshida could do.Which is why she decided to stop thinking about Paxton in the first place.
Because let's face it, it was never gonna happen.
Or so she thought.***
(This is mostly just a filler chapter to introduce the main characters.)
It gets better, I promise. XD
