Normal pov
"Unmei, hurry and take the list!"
Holding a hairband in her mouth, the girl ran down the stairs, using her hands to bundle her stubborn white hair.
Her outfit consisted of black dungarees, a white shirt underneath, with a pair of brown leather sandals and a dark blue bucket hat.
"I'm here, I'm here!" Fixing her bag, she mumbled under her breath, "This hair is a whole job.."
The elderly woman shook her head and walked inside from the garden, "I know you don't mean that child, your hair is--"
"--A sign of my Mother's soul living through me, and I should honour it, " Unmei finished the sentence mimicking a stern voice, "I know Oba-chan.."
"I just hope you always remember that, " Lady Yasu clicked her tongue, handing over the paper, "Your Father loved your hair..."
That's when Unmei's grey eyes turned down, a frown threatening to settle on her tanned features. The topic of her past was such a blur.
But the mentioning of it always managed to spark a dull pain in her heart.
"Unmei?" A hand touched hers, the list crumpling within her trembling grip, "I'm sorry dear I shouldn't have--"
"--Its fine, " Blinking rapidly, the girl shook her head and pulled away, "I'm gonna go now."
Leaving before the elderly woman could even respond, Unmei exited the front door.
'She never tells me anything..'
Unravelling the list she let out a strained sigh, 'Nothing ever makes any sense.. I just wish she would tell me my past.'
Though she adored her Grandmother, there was an undeniable tension that was enhanced everytime the topic was brought up.
Usually, Unmei would just brush off the urge to ask, but these days it was difficult. Her nightmares increasing in detail.
"..So annoying.." She kicked a rock on the pathway, and watched it tumble ahead.
Stopping when it hit someone else's shoes, she followed the legs upwards and felt her face tingle in embarrassment.
Short brunette hair blew in the summer wind, and Unmei couldn't avert her eyes.
"You kick that?" A moody voice to match his aura.
Cheeks speckled with soft freckles, sun-kissed skin and dark eyes.
Crush material really.
"I uh, " Her eyes darted for cover, anywhere away from such an intense gaze, "Nah, no, I don't think I did y'know.."
'Act casual.' She internally chanted as the boy scratched the back of his head.
"Why the hell are you looking directly into the sun..?"
'HE SAW THROUGH THE ACT.' She cringed, eyes stinging as she shifted from one foot to another.
"..Look, I dont mean to intimidate ya I swear.." He walked over, and held out a hand scratching the back of his head, "I'm Hinode Souta.."
Unmei blinked up at the boy, her worries melting away as he extended the friendly gesture.
"..Well Hinode, " She took the outstretched hand and grinned, "The name's Unmei Mikadsuki!"
The boy felt his eyes widen at her glowing appearance, his mind brightening up as she beamed with kindness.
And this didn't go unnoticed by the girl, her lips slightly opened as she saw him malfunction.
"..Uh, Hinode..?" She retracted her hand as he shook his head, rubbing his pink nose, "You glitching out huh?"
Her teasing remark made his brow twitch as she took off down the road.
"H-Hey wait, you from around here?!" He called to her, and she turned around.
About to answer, she froze still. Squinting, she saw past the waving boy, noticing something a little unnerving.
'..Does everyone, just have two shadows like that..?' But she decided not to push it any further, 'I'm probably overheating...'
"Yup, I'll see you around Hinode!" Unmei waved.
A simple encounter, causing a giant ripple effect.

秋
Fall.Unmei's favourite time of the year; when the sky was decorated with early festive lanterns, and the ground littered with fiery leaves; orange, red and yellow.
The air nipping on her nose as she pulled up another pumpkin from the ground.
"Oba-chan this one is huge!" She waddled over to the smiling lady, "We'll get good money for this year's crops!"
"Of course, our hard work will pay off, " Lady Yasu took the vegetable and placed it in a basket, "We should head in now though, the weather's too cold!"
Ushering her Granddaughter inside, she shut the backdoor, placing the harvest on the table. Both females shuddering at the cosy environment, they shared a laugh.
"Ah, I'll go put some hot chocolate on, you head up and get cleaned Unmei, " She took off her boots.
"Got it, Oba-chan, " The girl was about to take off her coat when she heard a knock, "..Huh?"
After stating she'll get it, she ran over to the front door fixing her hair,
"Oh..Hinode..?"
