"KENRIC JR. VACKER" Fitz yelled, stomping down the steps of Everdream.
Sophie giggled as she saw that Fitz's gelled hair was blue. Fitz stopped in front of her and crossed his arms across his chest.
Sophie and Fitz's eldest child was named Kenric Jr Avery Vacker. Kenny for short.
"He can pull of more pranks then Keefe ever could." Fitz grumbled
Sophie's smiled disappeared and her heart suddenly felt heavy. Keefe. Turned to the Neverseen out of jealousy that Sophie and Fitz were together.
Fitz pulled her into a hug.
"He made his choice." He whispered
"I know. But it's still hard. To know he's out there. Doing evil things" Sophie sniffed
Fitz made her look into his teal eyes.
"I don't say this enough but I want you to know that I'm so happy that I got to be with you." He told her, brushing a stray strand of hair behind her ears.
Fitz cradled her a bit more
Something moved in the corner of her eye and...
"Kenny. What did you do to your father's hair?" Sophie asked sternly
Kenny shrugged slyly.
Sophie reached up and tousled Fitz's hair.
Fitz walked over to Kenny pulling out a vial and splashing Kenny with it.
Kenny turned green and he shrunk until he was a ..... frog??????
"Fitz. Turn him back now" Sophie demanded
"Can't it'll get off in a few minutes" Fitz laughed as Kenny croaked in protest.
"At least no more pranks for now." Sophie sighed
Fitz hugged her and said
"Biana, Dex, and the Twins are coming over tonight" Fitz told her.
"Yeah! I'm going to go check on Luna and Cloud" Sophie called as she headed out to the field where Luna and Cloud where having alicorn snuggle time. A few years ago Sophie had found an abandoned pair of alicorn twins, hardly more than a few months old. She named them Cloud for the boy because he looked a bit like a cloud. White fur but tinted with blue. The other one was Rose, who had a pink body.
Wynn and Rose were off on their adventures. Silveny and Greyfall were also touring the world while Luna and Cloud decided to stay until after they had their baby.
Alicorn snuggle time was a very cute thing to watch. Both alicorns legs were tucked in and Cloud's left wing was draped over Luna. Both of their flanks were pressed against each other for warmth from the chilly winter breeze.
Sophie sighed. Again they forgot about the cot they had built for the two alicorns.
"Luna! Cloud!" Sophie called, beckoning them to the warmth of cot. Cloud lifted his head then nudged Luna up. He carefully let her lean on him and he guided her to the cot. Cloud still had his wing draped over Luna's back.
"Come here you two lovebirds" Sophie cooed, petting them as they entered the cot.
Inside it was warm and cozy compared to outside. The heat lamps on the top made the cot light up.
Sophie sat down on the hay and Luna lay down next to her, laying her head on Sophie's lap. Sophie gently stroked Luna's mane.
Soon Sophie decided to go back home so she quickly said goodbye to the two and headed home. But before Sophie could take more than a few steps home 4 walls of fire erupted around her, trapping her in, the smoke choking her.
"FITZ! LUNA! CLOUD! HELP!" Sophie screamed, but the fire was closing in soon Sophie knew she shouldn't waste her breath. Slumping down in defeat, Sophie felt herself beginning to choke.
And then the flashbacks came. The Everblaze that killed Kenric. The burning hands of her kidnappers. The Everblaze in the Forbidden Cities.
Then she blacked out.
