Getting to know Michael was much different than I thought it would be. I honestly expected a guy that was an asshole or was just trying to get into my pants. After actually seeing his face under that 2005-emo-looking fringe, I was almost certain that I had recognized him from other parties. He was basically the guy version of me, constantly getting fucked up; except he always had a group by his side. I hadn't expected him to be anything like the guy I found myself talking to. I mean, if he was who I had originally thought him to be, wouldn't he have went along with Ashton? Maybe he just acts the way he does for the status, or to for in. O decided to make it my mission to get to know Michael Clifford.
"So do you come to parties around here often?" He asked. "Not usually," I said, "I live about a half a mile south of here." "Oh really? I go around there a lot actually, maybe that's why you look so familiar." "Yeah," I laughed. "Did you do something to your hair? Because I'm pretty sure I've seen you around too. "Nah, I was born with this bright red hair, isn't it great?" He joked. I laughed. I found it so easy to warm up to him, it was like we had known each other for forever.
Hey, are you doing anything today?" He asked out of nowhere. "Well... it is a Saturday, and the only thing I had planned for tonight was finding a party to crash," I laughed. "Good." He smiled, in a way that signaled he already knew what we were doing. "I have something in mind."

We went outside to his car, it was a pretty worn in red car, it reminded me of something you would see everywhere about 10 years ago. I laughed to myself. "Can I have any hints as to where we are going?" I asked, giving him a smile and hoping he would tell me. "Nope, not a chance." His smile widened. It felt very odd to me that we hadn't even known each other for 24 hours, and we were this comfortable with the other person. I had a strange trust in him that I couldn't really explain. We got in, and my hands went straight to the radio.
"You like Coldplay?" I said excitedly, but I was pretty suprised, I didn't take Michael for someone that likes that type of music. "Yeah" he said, blushing. "And kodaline." "Seriously!?" I said. "Coldplay is my favorite, and kodaline is amazing. I think I may have underestimated you," I smiled.
"So..." he said, laughing at the awkwardness in the air. Why don't we play 20 questions? "Typical fuckboy," I muttered under my breath. "Huh?" He asked. "Nothing." My lips turned into a smile and I laughed to myself.
We started off the game with simple questions, and I found out that we had both just graduated high school, and both had hated it with a passion as well. We also confirmed that we hadn't hooked up yet, while being blacked out at some party before, which was pretty surprising, considering how we both were. "Hey, You know what today is?" He asked, with a devious smile on his face, "I think I do." I smiled back. "Today's the last party night of the best summer of our lives, and I know just the place to go."
