The Legend of Heroes (Series 1, Book 1) The Lords of Darkness

THE PROLOGUE (Revised)

     Good and Evil, the two forces that always collide against one another whether it be verbally or physically. What defines these morals? Who has the right to even tip the balance, causing utter chaos among all who dwell in the land of the living? Who demands there to be a conflict among Heroes and Villains?

   No one truly knows. For many people will try to tip the balance into their favor, so that they may achieve their goals or even desires. But why would these men and women, even think of doing such a thing? What is so wrong with the world, that they need to spurn it towards those they call enemies? Is life really that hard for them to cope with? Or has life done something to these individuals who call themselves "Villains?

   For when there are Villains, those who follow the path of Evil and Darkness that wish to upset the balance. There will always be Heroes, those who fight to protect the Light and all those who stand up for the Goodness of others. This has been an ongoing war ever since the dawn of Reality itself. But what if that balance, which has been preserved and maintained by the Gods who uphold it, were to shift in the most unexpected way possible? What if one of these Gods, were fed up with how things went, defying the rules that he sworn too, to make things go towards his favor?

  That is where things will most certainly get interesting, on a more, inter dimensional scale. Prepare yourself, for events will shift this balance of Good and Evil, and place the Heroes and Villains in a conflict that is more important that only a few would comprehend. Gods who rule over Creation, Destruction, Fate, Time & History must protect what they govern. Those who wished not to be part of any battle, will be forced to take action under many dire circumstances. Ancient knowledge of the past will resurface and cause either great misfortune or a new age of enlightenment. 

   This is the Legend of Heroes, and it all began when The God of Destruction decided to branch away from his brothers and begin his own plan of revenge. That was the year 2974, and since then he had his hand of Destruction all over the known universe. His actions were so evil and diabolical that they had caused many events to take shape. May those exact events be good and prosporous or dark and evil we shall see.

   Now the year is 3022, a time of peace after having four tragic wars that reshaped the known universe. But that peace may not go on for much longer, for it will begin to change in a small Kingdom were one of these Heroes resides. That Kingdom is known as Hyrule, home to many variety of people and other species that seem different. There are the Gorons, the mountain dwellers who reside in Death Mountain. The Zora, fish people who dwell under the waters of Lake Hylia. The Deku, small creatures who inhabit most of Hyrule but mainly resides within the Forest of Ordona. The Gerudo, a race of women who dwell in the desert far to the west of Hyrule Castle. Then lastly, the Hylians, humans who have pointy ears and who have lived in peace under the rule of the Hyrule Royal Family. 

   In its prosperous state, everyone is enjoying the peaceful time. The kingdom's princess who is known as Zelda, has kept the peace among the Gerudo, Zora, and Goron tribes. Through this peace no war has broken out in years. Many began to call it "The Golden Age Of Hyrule".

    Now it wasn't only Zelda that kept the peace, for she was mainly busy with maintaining the Kingdom. That was because she had the aid of a Hero, whom was a young man from the Ordona Province in Hyrule. That Hero's name is Link Winstrom. Well, not exactly him but he is the reincarnation of Hyrule's Hero who was also named Link. This current Link has maintained the memories of his previous incarnations. That knowledge being how he knows wannabe kings, magical beings from a different dimension, monsters, phantoms, and most dangerous of all; demons, were defeated by the previous reincarnations of him.  Although out of these threats, the demons were the most dangerous for they were more organized than just normal monsters. They have leadership.

   The leadership of these demons are called Demon Kings. Most of these demon kings have been revived in the past to spread there wrath. But one was more dangerous of them all. His name was Ganondorf, The Gerudo King of Thieves. Also known as Ganon, he has truly been a bad omen for the kingdom of Hyrule. But he was always stopped by the Hero Chosen By The Gods, who possessed the Triforce of Courage. Many have tried to revive Ganondorf, either they succeeded or failed. 

   But now in this new age, with Link Winstrom, just a simple captain of the Hylian Guard, must face with a dark evil that is currently plotting within the bowls of the Demon Realm as we speak....
