We were requested to spend the night at a hotel near the beach after getting to know each other. It was time to get to know each other better and create a team relationship to work together more effectively. We were supposed to leave the next morning. We were separated into two rooms, one with me and the females, Lily, Mary, Marlene, and Alice, and the other with James and the rest of the boys. The night passed in silence. Our group was getting along swimmingly, or at least the majority of us were. Reggie was the odd man out amongst us; he didn't say much and kept to himself. But he always said something harsh or caustic whenever he spoke. It was becoming increasingly irritating to listen to his nasty remarks and snarky retorts; anytime we tried to involve him in the conversation, he would ignore us and stare at his phone. I wanted to say something to him, to respond to him as he responded to us, but I stopped since it would further degrade the situation. We decided to call it a night after finishing supper and returned to our rooms after exchanging good nights, where we were once again ignored by someone. We were awake and ready for our adventure the next morning.
